As He Grows Pt.1

"Five more minutes!" Six year old LiCu grumbles as he buried himself in his pillows

"You're going to be late for school" Kanjian chides as he took the blankets off the boy making the other yelp on the sudden lack of warmth from them

"Kanjian Gege it's cold!"

"Get up or I'm eating all of the sweet congee PangYe made!" Kanjian threatens but doesn't seem to work as the boy just let out a whine and rolls to his stomach to bury his face in the pillows

Kanjian defeatedly sigh, who knew waking up a six year old for school would be a feat? He's sure he wasn't this hard to wake up when he's a kid, but then again he doesn't exactly remember

"YaLi! Up and about lazy pear!" Wuxie, much to Kanjian's relief enters the room

"Laoban, he's still…" Kanjian sheepishly pointed at LiCu who very much went back to sleep

"I'll handle this Kanjian, thankyou, PangZi needs a little help in the kitchen" WuXie winks at him all smiles

Just as he got out of the bedroom a peal of laughter can be heard , he sheepishly looks at PangZi who has his eyebrows raised before turning back to the congee he's making for breakfast

"I'll help set up the table" Kanjian volunteers, rummaging through the dish cabinet

"Thanks kid, and thank heavens for us because WuXie almost tried to cook again"

Kanjian just chuckled, his Laoban really is something. He found him capable and stubborn in some aspects but you can never trust him in the kitchen, something he learned the hard way just a couple of months after he came with them being assigned to be WuXie's bodyguard, let's just say, it invokes fear in him whenever WuXie holds anything that belongs in the kitchen

Living with WuXie and LiCu for a year, KanJian's gotten used of all the odd things about his Laoban, with how eccentric WuXie is and the somewhat scary personality changes that he has, depending on the people he interacts with and depending on the situation at hand , He had seen his Laoban smile at a person and yet still feel the intense irritation from him or how he could seem to see through Kanjian but not say anything

LiCu as Kanjian observed got the same trait, he can be very perceptive, look at you as if he can read your soul and then be innocent oblivious the next second

"Kanjian Gege Hide me!" LiCu came almost diving behind his back as WuXie came with his fingers wiggling ready to tickle, LiCu giggles as he clings on Kanjian's waist

"Kanjian" WuXie gave him the "you know what to do" smile and the boy steps aside smiling apologetic at LiCu who squeals the word traitor as WuXie catches him and swoops him off the floor and starts peppering him in kisses as the boy squeals in delight

"Well Good morning to both of you" PangZi says

"Uncle PangZi save me!!" The bot said between fits of laughter as WuXie continues to tickle him

"Sorry Baobei not even uncle PangZi can save you from me" WuXie continues the peppered kisses relishing in the laughter

"I Will not be defeated!" This time LiCu dives in to give glomp WuXie on the cheek little legs and arms clinging to his Dad like a koala and using his little strength to squish WuXie in a hug

"Aughhhhhh I'm dead " WuXie dramatically sits on a chair, head back and arms a limp 

"Hah! YaLi One WuXie Zero,he will be missed " PangZi eggs on the play as he sets the pot of congee on the table and gestured for Kanjian to sit down so they can start breakfast
