I walked into the auditorium. For today I've settled on a more casual yet professional look. A white low cut, with a pair of black skinny jeans. Brown leather 4.5in ankle boots and a royal blue jacket to pull off my outfit. My hair braided into a bun. As I put my books down on the table, the students grew quiet. I saw my nibbling’s, amongst the familiar faces. I turn towards my projector, powered it on and started my lecture. I slide in a page and walked them through the rules of Matrix Algebra. I noticed how some of the students scribbled notes down. "Consider a simple model of an economy in which only three goods are produced: electricity, coal, and steel. Outside or external demand from businesses, other industries, households, and the government amount to $1,156,500 worth of electricity, $685,000 worth of coal and $1,668,000 worth of steel. Given the input-output table for this three-sector economy presented below, determine the output of the second sector, i.e., the coal industry, that will meet both the external and the internal demand of the economy. Once the external demand for coal is satisfied, what will be the amount of coal left for the three industries in the economy to consume?" I just finished reading the question out loud, when I heard my name being called over the intercom. "Try to solve this problem on your own. I'll be back in a minute." I picked up the stupid device from the table and unmarked two of the options before sticking it back into my pocket and leave the auditorium.
I were quite surprised when, my friend's name were too called towards the office. My heart physically stopped when a new face turned in our direction as we entered. What is he doing here? Abby claimed the first chair. Leaving the middle one empty. Mere inches away from him. My throat feels like a desert. My tongue sticks to the palate, like honey to a comb. I swallowed, but it feels like sandpaper. It's literally hurting my throat. I pinned my eyes on the Professor who sits behind his desk. Mahogany polished to a gloss. Trying to ignore the existence of the stranger inches away. "Professor Jones," he said as he nodded at me after greeting Abby too. "This is Professor Namjoon Kim. He's the new Music Professor. Seeing how your all teaching in the same building. I would like you two to show him around campus. Showing him the ropes. I presume that it won't be to much trouble?" He ended on a question mark. Both men and my friend stared at me awaiting my answer. It feels like I'm the kid in that naked school dream, where everyone stares at you, because you had forgotten to put on your clothes. I nodded and assured him nervously that I have no objections. Thankfully the Professor hadn't picked up on my uncomfortable behaviour, but he... did.
