Chapter 1

Izuku's pov (Flashback)
"Kami!" I call running over to my best friend at the park. "I have something to tell you." He says walking over to me. "What why the serious face?" I ask stopping in front of him. "Well I um...I broke it." He says fidgeting with his fingers. "....I'm sorry what?!" I exclaim making a few of the other people there look at us. "Midobro shh they can hear us." He says putting his finger to my lips.

"Alright well," I pause taking some deep breaths calming myself down successfully. "I'm very mad at you...but I didn't want to leave without saying...goodbye." I say giving him a short hug and then leaving again. "Bye.." He says his hand up in a waving position.

Present day same pov
That was about 4 years ago. I'm now 15 years old. I applied for UA with my best friend kacchan and I got in. Life is going great. You wanna know what the funny thing is? I still miss him, I don't even remember the promise he broke. It was probably something silly seeing as we were both kids. I hope I get to see him again.

"Izuku are you ready for school?" My mom calls from downstairs. "Yes mom!" I say grabbing my backpack and making my way to my mother. "You didn't just pack action figures did you?" She asks narrowing her eyes. "No mom I didn't only pack action figures." I chuckle putting on my shoes. "So you admit you did pack them." She says hitting my shoulder lightly. "I guess we'll never know." I chuckle. "Now I gotta go kacchan's waiting." I stand.

"Alright have a good day." She says kissing my cheek. "Bye mom!" I say heading out the door. "Took you long enough nerd." Kacchan greets. "Hi kacchan!" I wave walking over to him. "Hurry up." He says standing at my gate impatiently. "Alright alright." I say finally catching up with him. We start on our journey talking about literally nothing as we reach the UA gates.

"Ahhh I can't believe I'm actually here!!" I exclaim hugging kacchan tightly. "Mhm." He says patting my back. "Alright let go." He say pulling away. "Ok lets go inside." I say excited and he begins walking away from me. "Ah kacchan!" I say running and grabbing his hand. "You're fine nerd." He says dragging me into the school and towards our classroom.

"Ok I'm gonna sit near the windows." He says letting go of my hand and walking over to the empty desk in front. "Midobro?" A familiar voice calls from behind me making me turn around. "Kami..." I say looking down. "I didn't know you were going here." He says. "I didn't know you got in here either." I respond. "You haven't forgave me still? Midoriya I said I was sorry." He says grabbing my hands.

"Kami I thought the world of you. I thought we were gonna be best friends forever but,at the end of the day you are you and I am me. I don't know maybe I can find it in my heart to forgive you but lets be honest. Our paths diverged a long time ago." I say looking up at him with tears in my eyes.

He looks at me and nods in a thoughtful manner as if deciding what to say next. "I mean yeah its probably for the best if we never speak to each other again." He pushes past me heading over to his seat and I sigh as I make my way over to kacchan.

"Wonder where our damn teacher is." He grumbles. "I was just thinking the same thing." I mutter as a yellow sleeping bag comes crawling through the door. Is this is a student? No,all the chairs are filled which means this must be, "Hi I'm your homeroon teacher Shouta Aizawa." The tired man introduces himself stepping out of his bag.

"Put these on and head outside." He instructs. "But sir what about orientation?" The bubbly brunette in the back says. "I decide how this class is run so orientation can come later." He replies.

We nod and head into the locker rooms to change without another word. "So...you know pikachu huh?" Kacchan asks me breaking the silence between us. "I mean I used to." I answer. "I saw the fight you two got into earlier..just say the word deku." He says hinting subtly at wanting to beat him up. "No kacchan you're not gonna beat him up." I say turning towards him.

"Damn it why the fuck not?" He asks angrily. "Because I said no!" I respond hitting his chest. "Now hurry up and get dressed." I walk away from him leaving him behind in the locker room.

"Great now that all of you decided to join us we can finally get started." He says. "We will be doing multiple series of tests to see where your quirks are and how to better develop them over the year." He explains thoroughly.

Sounds easy enough. "Oh also if you fail you're getting kicked out." He adds smiling widely. Oh well thats fine I'll probably pass anyway.

"Bakugo you got first in the exam take this ball and see how far you can throw it using your quirk." He instructs as kacchan walks forwards. He throws the ball using his quirk and then Mr.Aizawa shows us his distance on a screen. "972.3 meters." The machine says. "Hah! Choke on my smoke!" He yells. Yeah I'm not worried about this at all.
