Rhydian POV~
Rhydian lay on his bed, contemplating running away. He was torn between leaving for the wild, with no idea where Maddy or her family were- or staying in Stoneybridge. Here he had friends and family, but no Maddy, no beloved scent.
As he stared at his wall- plastered with drawings of his pack, in wolf and human form- he noticed that a few of the pictures were slightly out of place. Rhydian arranged his sketches in a way that only made sense to him, so if something was wrong he knew about it. Narrowing his eyes, Rhydian observed that two of his pictures, the ones closest to the window, had blown slightly to the left. Sighing, he slumped against his pillow. The open window cast a breeze through his room, and he shivered.
The window.
He'd closed it this morning, before leaving for school.Rhydian sat bolt upright, before swinging his legs over the bed and dashing to the window. His pale curtains fluttered in the wind, the wind that had cast any scent away. He inhaled deeply, finding nothing but faint smell of washing powder, and the feeling he was missing something.
It was infuritating. He was half wolf, and couldn't find out who had been his room.He lashed out, kicking the wall in anger, and stubbing his foot- but the pain only made it worse. He was shaking with anger, and his curled fists threatened to break something, anything. Instead, Rhydian collapsed on his bed in a trembling heap. He couldn't take it anymore. He ached for Maddy so much he was unable to process anything else. Her face was etched over his vision- when he closed his eyes, the vision only became clearer.
Windswept hair blew around her face as she walked towards him. Everything faded away, until it was just them, and the lonely moor.
"I love you."
Her confession, his realisation.
They locked eyes, her wild, brown orbs that clouded his vision and cleared his mind.
Rhydian closed the gap between then, and this time it was their lips that met. Soft, delicate and meaningful. Her palm pressed against his chest, they were together, as one wolf, as one being.
"Love you too" he'd mumured against her hair.
One last time, he'd breathed in her scent, and let her go.Sobs wracked his body as the flashback ebbed away.
