Jane sat next to the old fortune telling machine. She pondered about many things, she usually did this when she was next to karnak. Mainly because he would listen to her talk about all the stuff she could never say to her fellow choir members...
"Did I have parents...?"
"Of course you did."
Karnak was incapable of telling any details, during the show he had indeed figured out many things about Jane.. but he was incapable of ever expressing it.
"Who were they.."
"That I can't say."
"WHO WERE THEY!?"
She screamed as an overwhelming sense of emotion welled into her.
"Im sorry Jane. I can't tell you."
"Of course you can't..."
"Life is never in my favour..."
"I am truly sorry."
Jane said nothing, she leaned her head against the old machine.
"Listen... You can.. call me father if you want.."
"Father..?"
"That sounds... Nice.."
She smiled slightly.
