It was the next morning at 8:30 am I was sitting on the room balcony with the baby in his swing next to me taking in the air, it was warm outside so he had on a onesie, some baby joggers, and some socks. I was in a satin ruffle maxi dress with my curls hanging out today small gold hoop earrings and white sneakers, I had on light makeup with a little yellow eyeshadow.

Today was the day Vinny said he was going to give me a surprise I was scared, to say the least, I was hoping it didn't involve a dead body or anything happening to my family, that's the last thing I need right now.

There was a knock on the door telling them to come in and it was Ms. Gloria coming in with a tray of breakfast for me which consisted of boiled eggs, turkey bacon, cut-up tomatoes, cucumbers with Italian dressing, and a glass of apple juice.

"Mary, I brought you breakfast." She told walking to the balcony, I went to grab the tray but she shook her head.

"Thank you, Ms. Gloria," I replied smiling she set the tray on the little table next to me and I immediately got a boiled egg and cracked it open and added salt and pepper to it, and ate it.

"Hmmm, these are so good," I said with my hand over my mouth chewing. "Vinny told you I love boiled eggs?" Smiling at her she chuckled shaking her head.

"Yes this morning, he told me how you hate scrambled eggs even the smell." I grabbed the fork and dug into the cucumbers & tomatoes the fresh vegetables and dressing hit my taste buds. I was loving breakfast this morning.

"So are you ready to go into town today?" I was happy I got to get out of the house and meet new people.

"Yes, I'm so excited, I wanna meet new people shop around, and discover new things," I said drinking my juice.

"What's the town population?" I asked. I needed to know so when I try to leave I could probably have someone else help me if they were brave enough.

She started humming for a second then shrugged her shoulders a little. "Probably around 2-3 million people, it's mostly a town filled with mobsters, corrupt cops, politicians, and rich people who want to be in charge." She said with a sad tone and anger in her eyes. She then continued.

"But the innocent people that live here just looking to make a living in selling fruit or vegetables and other things they stay to themselves and their families. And of course, we have the tourists that come here they don't bother anyone but best believe some people get annoyed."

"When it comes to families around here who's one should I watch out for? And who should I make friends with." I asked.

"Damn." She sighed laughing and running her hand through her hair thinking a little. "Well there is the Gallo family they're a bunch of rich uppity assholes who do anything to stay at the top, then there's the Longo family who is just a bunch of dummies but sweet at least some of them and there's the Carbone family, and last but not least the most powerful dangerous family there is are the De Luca's." She finished with a side-eye.
