MARY'S POV

Los Angeles

Same night

"So where are you taking us tonight Vinny, I'm not trying to be out all night since we gotta leave tomorrow," I told him looking out the window.

"You just need to sit back and relax," He glanced at me, "I'm not going to kill you,"

I knew he was trying to scare me and believe me it was and he knew it it was like he felt my fear and was enjoying it.

After 20 minutes we arrived at this big building, it looked run down and looked like it belonged to some serial killer who was hiding from the cops. We got River out of the truck and walked into the entrance onto an elevator I was nervous the whole time.

"Vinny, what is this place?" I asked nibbling on my lip and looking around.

"Just relax mi amor, you'll be safe." I just nodded my head and looked at River who was sleeping his butt off.

Walking off the elevator we made our way down a long hallway to this beautiful restaurant. It was something that should've been on a French magazine cover. It was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen next to River of course. Getting pulled out of my thoughts I saw we were heading to the back.

Once we made it to the back we had a private room It had vintage paintings all around, and it looked like it belonged in Buckingham Palace. I applaud Vinny for doing this to us it was sweet and a nice gesture but deep down I had a feeling he was using it for something and I couldn't put my finger on it.

Vinny pulled out my seat and I sat down he left out the room for a second and brought in a bassinet for River to lay in so he wouldn't be uncomfortable in his car seat, after laying him in the bassinet he sat down and we waited for the waiter.

"I'm not even gonna lie Vinny this is beautiful I smiled at him and grabbed his hand but hurried up and let it go he saw what I did chuckling to himself.

"Hi, my name is Jax I will be your waiter for this evening. Is there anything you would like?" He asked in his thick Spanish accent. Looking over the menu for a minute I eventually wanted this Italian pasta and white wine, while Vinny got lobster with red wine we sat in silence for a moment I didn't know what to talk about with him he made me nervous under his brown eyes.
