Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Sugar is sweet,
And so are you.
What if its story is different,
One that wasn't thought true?
What if it was bittersweet,
And no one even knew.
Let me tell you a story,
One that symbolizes this,
It's both alluring and nasty,
Which you shouldn't miss.
It began with a man,
And a lady he adores,
They showed their love to each other,
But it then turned to remorse.
He loved and cherished,
And prized and felt pleasure,
Then wrote in books and journals,
All the memories he treasured.
Then sadly one day,
He saw her with another,
And his sweetness and joy quickly
Turned to outrage and anger.
After gaining the satisfaction
Of seeing her blood in his hands,
Her blue eyes blankly staring back,
And her skin turn pale,
He opened a new page in his journal,
And wrote the end of their bittersweet story.
With four small lines situated in the last page, describing the way he lastly saw her,
'Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Sugar is sweet,
And so are you'.
