I'm a warrior in a land full of dead peacemakers.
A homeless fighter with a glowing sword and a vivid memory of you, beloved.
Drawing shapes in the sand, trying to recall the alphabet of our slain love.
I remember when I left the battleground solely; I walked zigzag, to avoid the scattered bodies, whispering to my sword, what have we done?
I yearn for them all, the people we slay, souls we abuse, and parents of orphan children we found.
My sword answers me: "You are a warrior in a land full of dead peacemakers, and this is what we do for a living.
