I was surprised when he kissed me. I liked it; so many emotions were running that night for us. I do like him, love. I'm not sure I've loved anyone before, so that's a big step.
Liam lying on my stomach feels good; I could lay there for hours. But I can't.
"Liam, I have work, and so do you," you hear me."
He moans. He pulls off my stomach and rubs his eyes.

"Just protect yourself ok," I will check up on you in a couple of hours on patrol, ok?"
"Ok"
He smiles and kisses me
He gets dressed, and so do I. We head out and go to work.
Work was alright, Karen still whined, but I smiled; it's nothing to me now. I do my job; I don't mind cleaning.
I'm on my break. I see Liam in his cop car on the side corner waving at me; I wave back, grinning at him. He moves around and parks, and gets out.
"How's work."
"Fine, you?"
"slow until I see you."
I blush and look down; he kisses me on the forehead.

"Don't, my coworkers will see."

"And what if they do? Do they not see what I'm wearing? I'm the real deal."

"Oh really, you are?"

"Yes"
So full of himself. I kiss him and go back to work.
After work, I walk home; I like walking home; I have my paper spray in case something happens. I'm almost to my house; I hear footsteps behind; in case things become hostile, I ready my bottle.
The person is getting closer.

I walk faster; I'm close. I hear a sound of a gun clip, thinking I should strike now. I turned around and sprayed the person in the face, the stalker had a ski mask on, but I still got him. He screams out loud; I start running to my house. I'm almost there.

The stalker had his gun in his hand and shot at me, missed two times; on the third, he hit me. I fell face-first on the cement. I feel pain in my legs, screaming out loud. I scram to get my phone out, and hearing footsteps coming closer, I call 911, and the stalker's feet are right next to my head. I'm in too much shock to feel fear. I heard him his gun; he pointed it at my head. Feeling it touch my head is when I realized this could be it.

I hear screeching tires from the street. The car door opens, and someone gets out.

"Put the gun down now!" Put your Arms up slowly and walk back!"

It's Liam! I hear something else, too; I can't pinpoint who it is—losing blood. I'm going to sleep; I can't keep awake. I feel the gun gets pulled back from my head; I can't stay awake for the last time and close my eyes.

I was waking up in the hospital. Lights blinding me, I squint to the side, adjusting to the room. I'm able to see clearly. I look around the room and see Liam on the bedside with his head down, sleeping. He's gripping my hand.

"Liam"
I say it two times, and he wakes up.

"Ethan, your up. Are you ok?"

"Yea," you"
A tear comes down his right cheek. I'm about to cry seeing him in that state, but I hold it in being strong for him.

"I almost didn't make it in time; I- "I wanted to shoot him in his damn head; it would have been a pure pleasure."

"You did make it in time. That's all that matters."
I raise my other hand. He comes closer; I touch his face, and his eyes are closed. I feel his hands shake.

"We're safe; calm down; you here, and so am I."
He starts to break down. I hug him for a long time.
The doctors come in.
"Mr. Ethan, your up good, How's the pain?"
"Good"
"Yea, that's good; in two days, you're free to go. Don't touch the sticking. We want it to heal, ok."
"Yea"
The doctor steps outside with Liam, and they talk. After a time, he steps back inside.

"What's going on, Liam."

"Nothing, just stupid questions for you"

"About what"

" the cuts around your arm, she pushed on you going to a psychiatric place. I said he doesn't need that anymore."
I smile. Liam knows those places are horrible. At least the places I've been. They made me feel like I was crazy. I hug him more.
I make room for him on the bed, and he lays with me. He's looking pretty good in his cop uniform. He's very fit, and you see a lot of muscle on his body. I start to rub his stomach; he lets out a big sigh. When we get home, I will try something new with him; I think he deserves to be rewarded.
It's been two days since the attack. I had the wound closed with no internal bleeding or damage; I will have a scar.

"Did you get the attacker, Liam"
Looking down at the node's

"He's being questioned as we speak; I  would, of course, be there, but I told them about our relationship." So they pulled me out of the case."

"Oh ok"
We walk back into our house. We sit on the bed. It stings still; I can handle it.

"Liam, when I get better, I'm gonna do something nice for you, so be prepared ok."
He looks at me, confused. I smile and kiss him, using my tongue; I push harder into his mouth; oh, I can't wait to please him.
