Chapter Seven: 𝑀𝒾𝓈𝒾𝓃𝒻𝑜𝓇𝓂𝑒𝒹

"Our skinhead neighbor is Zack's Ex from last year when he was in Inside out." Tim blurted out, causing Brad to punch him on his arm. "Huh?!" Tom shouted.

Zack's blood immediately turned cold, as he glanced over at him, his anger and concern made him feel guilty "L-Look..I uhm..I can explain.." he said sulking.

"Then explain, Zackary! Why and how did you know him?! Why were you with him at a young age?" Tom said angrily, his concern grew. Zack flinched and darted his eyes away from the leader "I..uhm.." his voice was slowly cracking.

"Tom..I think you should calm down." Tim said, fidgeting with his hands. "Timothy, I got this." Tom said coldly "Zack, tell me. What's wrong with you and Duncan?".

The singer hugged himself, trying to calm down but failed as he suddenly grabbed the door handle of the car and walked out.

"I'll talk to him.." Tim sighed as he walked out of the car to talk to Zack, making Brad and the leader sigh deeply.

"What did..he do?" Tom asked as he glanced at Brad "Duncan is the asshole who manipulated, abused, and used Zack for his own gain and pleasure. He would tell him that nobody will ever be good for him and yelled at him that he's a nobody and a rat." The man went on "That's why Tim told you to not yell at him and to calm down because that's what causes him to break down emotionally.".

The leader realized that something was wrong about the neighbor, what he heard was way different. "Someone said that..He and Zack broke up due to..ideal problems with their thinking and beliefs..not because of toxicity!".

"Well..they lied to you. Duncan is an abusive piece of shit who doesn't believe in redemption. Who was never there for Zack, when he needed him." Brad glanced over as he saw Tim and Zack going inside the car and sat back down.

"Zack..I'm sorry for yelling at you, I never thought he would..treat you like that." Tom glanced at him, waiting for him to respond "It's fine..let's just not talk about it again..just drive to go meet with the sweet elderly woman." Zack said in a brittle tone, managing a soft sad smile.

Tom darted his eyes away from him and began to start the car and drive off to the retro diner.
