After Harry left, I sighed, turning to the others. "We need to talk to Mal." I say, throwing a rock to get the gate open again before walking up the stairs. The others follow and we're all silent until we arrive at the base. I knock on the frame, stepping in as Mal turned around. Her once blonde hair now a light shade of purple and a clear fringe is present. "Mal." I say, stepping to her as her eyes widen. "Y/N, I told you to go away!" She says.

"I'm sorry...but we have a problem..." I say.

After sitting Mal down and explaining the situation, she groans, rubbing her face. "If you guys never would have brought him here, this never would have happened." She said, annoyed. I roll my eyes, standing. "What were you thinking?" Mal adds, standing too. "He was gonna come with or without us! Do you think it's better for him to be alone?" I ask. "Well, no, but clearly, being with you didn't help either!" Mal shouts back. "He wandered off alone. Sulking after you..." I jab my finger at her. "Ran away." I finish, seething.

Mal's eyes widen again and she scoffs leaning closer to speak "Don't act like you didn't think it too." "We just wanted to protect him." Evie says from behind us not hearing Mal. As if we forgot they were there, Mal and I turned to see the other three watching us with worried expressions. Carlos was eyeing me with a concerned look and was the closest to Mal. Did he hear what she said? "Yeah, and we completely blew it." Carlos says, crossing his arms and looking down to the floor. "Okay! Okay. So what are we gonna do?" Mal asks, finally realising arguing isn't helping. But I let the annoyance keep me fueled and I scoff.

"Nope. 'We' aren't doing anything. Uma asked for me. This is between me and her...and we know she's a punk." I say, rolling my eyes. "So now, I'm going to go get him. Okay?" I ask, sarcasm in my tone. "Whoa, whoa, whoa. Y/N. You're still gonna have to go through Harry Hook and his wharf rats." Carlos adds, standing. Evie stands, glancing at me uneasily. "You're gonna need us, Y/N." She says quietly. She takes my hands, looking me in the eyes. "We know how aggressive your goddamn ex is." She mumbles, reaching up to tuck a stray strand of hair behind my ear. I sigh, leaning into her touch before stepping back.

"Uma said to come alone." I say. Evie shakes her head, worry in her eyes. "Y/N...come on." She says before Carlos steps in. "She said to come alone." He echoes as Evie frowns, pouting at me. Mal looks at me. The anger in her eyes now gone. "I know one thing...I'm not going anywhere." She says patting my shoulder. "I'm sorry." She says. This time, I can tell she didn't mean this, she meant leaving me at the cliff, only for me to wind up in this situation. I nod, looking at the others. Carlos sits down on a worn out couch as Jay leans against a pillar. Mal sits on a nearby table as Evie stands in front of me.

She places a hand on my cheek gingerly, using her thumb to stroke it. "We'll be here when you get back." She whispers, pulling my face in for a kiss. "Be careful." She whispers before pulling away. I give her a small smile, nodding before turning and leaving the base, going straight to the Chip Shoppe.

I hear the shop before I see it. The bustling in and outside as people either argue, chatter or are busy eating. I sigh, walking to the door and pushing them open with both hands, smirking when they crash against the walls beside it. I watch as Uma looks up, her sea green hair cascading over her shoulders. "I'm baaaack." I say in a singsong voice. Uma scoffs, nodding to a table and gesturing with her hand. "Loser, party of one. Right this way, please." She says, kicking a chair towards me. I grab it, raising an eyebrow and sitting on it backwards.

"Same old Chip Shoppe. Still stinks." I say, leaning forward. Uma scoffs, rolling her eyes. "Oh, I'm sorry. We're down a butler today....your majesty." She says, exaggerating a bow. I sigh, rubbing my face with a hand. "Where is he?" I ask. Uma laughs, sitting opposite me. "You know, I've dreamed of this... You wanting something from me, and me watching you squirm like a worm on a hook." She says, leaning forward and hooking a finger under my chin. I don't flinch, don't move. Just glare at her eyes. God, what did I see in her?
