Evie's Pov

I wait in the dorm for Doug to arrive to help me deliver the gowns and Chad's cape. It was a heavy rack and he is better at making sure they pay what they should.

I sit on a chair, gazing at the blue and yellow gown I made for Mal before trailing my eyes to the other dress on a mannequin. The light blue and purple dress. It was fancy enough to meet Auradon standards, but also had an Isle flare.

I smile at the image in my head of Y/N wearing it. The way it would make her eyes pop along with showing everyone the part of her that they overlook. Showing them that Isle goers are as good as Auradonians.

I hear a knock and open the door to see Doug standing there. "I've been searching for you and Y/N everywhere!" He says, closing the door behind him. "What?" I ask, slightly confused. "Last night I had an idea for Evie's 4 Hearts that I wanted to run by you. I couldn't find you, so I tried to find Y/N but I couldn't find her!" He says getting annoyed. "Then I ran into Jay and Carlos who said you were....camping?" He asks, clearly not believing it. Suddenly, his eyes widen and he steps back. "Actually. Nevermind. If you two were doing...things together. I don't wanna know." He says. I laugh, shaking my head.

"No, Doug. Ben was captured." I say. Ben pauses for a minute before nodding slowly. "So you weren't doing anything weird or...ya know." He says, blushing. I nod, laughing. "No, we weren't. Don't be so dopey." I say, making him smile. I nod to the dress rack, grinning. "Besides, we have dresses to deliver. It is Cotillion day after all." I say as Doug walks to the back of the rack as I get ready to pull it. I spot the bag I had gotten from Dizzy and smile, grabbing a piece.

"I was lucky enough to have been given a chance, and now I need to give someone else a chance, too." I say, thinking about how happy Dizzy would be if I wore this on TV. "My Uncle Bashful used to say that." Doug says as I put the piece down. "Did he?" I ask as he nods. "But really quietly."

I nod, grabbing the rack again and facing the door which Doug swung open. "Let's do this." I say before pulling the rack.

Wanting to do the worst one first, I go to Chad's room and knock on the door. I hear shuffling before the door peeks open and Chad's face pokes out. "Evie?" He asks, confused. "Yes, yes. Hello, Chad." I say, sighing as I turn to get the cape. "Now, here's your cape. Doug will collect the money." I say, handing the cape to him. He nods, opening the door wider as he walks back inside to get his wallet as Doug steps forward with his clipboard.

The prince pays Doug and the dwarf's son ticks his name, taking his place back at the back of the rack as I fake a smile to Chad. "Thanks, Chad." I say, waving and turning to leave when he calls out my name. "Evie! Wait!" I sigh, plastering a smile again as I turn to face him. "Yes?" I ask. "Could you tell Y/N that I look great in the cape?" He asks, smirking and wiggling his eyebrows. Oh fuck me.

"No, Chad." I say. His eyebrows furrow and he tilts his head. "What? Why not?" He asks. "Because, Chad, she has made it clear that she does NOT like you. So please, run back to Audrey before I decide to slap you." I say, still smiling. He stutters, shocked before scoffing. "Wow, Evie. Jealous much?" He asks. I laugh, confused. "Jealous? Of what? Your poor sense of style? Or your failure in getting women?" I ask, earning a stifled laugh from Doug.

"Do yourself a favour, Chad. Go back to Audrey, who actually might like you, and stop going for Y/N." I say. "Why would I do that? She's single. It's not like she's your girlfriend." He mutters. I laugh again, shaking my head. "Oh, Chad. If only you knew." I say, smirking before turning and sauntering away. I hear his confused stutter as he watches me leave before the slam of his door. I can't help but smirk at myself. "That was amazing." Doug says, laughing. I flip my hair over my shoulder, looking at him over my shoulder as we walk. "That felt good." I say, laughing and making my way to the next customer.
