Chapter 6

"Nick" I say as a walk into his room "yes Taylor"
"I really want to go to the school dance but there no one to look after jody and the boys" I sigh
" Well I can't I am going with rita"
"I know but"
"You could get a baby sitter"
"No because they would want to know why can't dad do this"
Nick sighs
"Well I don't know I really want to go"
"We could ask a auntie orla"
"You could but jody scared of her"
"Yeah jody scared of most poeple" I fowned
Nick shugged
I walked out of his room, I will never go to any dance.
"TAYLOR" jack said from down the hall
"Yes jack"
"Can I please go to Benjamin's house"
"Sure is his mum going to pick you up and bring you home"
"Yes" the doorbell rings
"That would be them" he ran to the door and opened the door.
"Hi is an aldult there" I voice said but it didn't sound like Benjamin's mum. I went to the door I women in a suit said "is there a parent here"
"Hi am Taylor my dads up stairs of you would like me to get him for you"
"Yes please" I ran up stairs to my dads room and knock on the door.
"Come in" my dad said
"There a woman in a suit at the door" he sighed and went down stairs.
"Can I come in" the woman asked
My dad said "yes"
The woman said " sorry to disturb but it's about your wife belle Jackson"
We were all shocked and she said "she died of cancer last night and I was hoping I could talk about the funeral"
My mum was dead she died of cancer last night what we didn't even know we're she was. jody give me a hug and started to cry and give her a big hug. "didn't you know she had cancer"the woman asked my dad shock his head the woman seemed shock.
my dad shallowed hard and says "she left three years ago"
"Oh" the woman says in shock. if you want I can get someone else to plan the funeral" "yes call her brother John" my dad gets his phone and writes down his number on a piece of paper, she takes the number and says "thank you I will call back to tell you when the funeral is. Goodbye" "bye" my dad says softly and walks up stairs to his bed room.
Jody was still crying and hugging me u tried to be brave and not cry but I couldn't I just stared to cry Nick gives me a big hug and says "everything will be ok"
We all try to be really nice to each other, it not to bad we could be worst and always be fighting but if we did that we would all be starving.

An hour later after we all settled it was inch time I go into the kitchen and put some soup on.
Jody comes in and says " Taylor I forgot to tell you but I might a girl called Sophie and she was really nice to me" as she smiled and give me a big hug "congrats your first friend" she walk over to the table and sits down.
"Boys lunch is ready" as I call upstairs.
I could here them all coming down the stairs, they all sit down at the table I sit down beside Shane.
"Nick" Shane says "yes" he says "jody going to be seven next Sunday" oh no I totally forgot about jodys birthday, Nick looks over to me he forgot to "well I am going to get her present today" I say. "ok" Shane says I look over to jody who was smiling that she was going to get a present.
I clean up all the dishes and send a text to Molly saying
"Hey Molly I totally forgot about jodys birthday so I will have to go in to town now will you come with me"
I waited a couples if minutes
"Sure see you there"
I grabbed my coat and said "Nick I am going out I will be back in a hour"
I open the door and leave I start walking.
I finally get there and Molly turns to me and said "are you ok you look upset"
"Well I just found out my mum died of cancer last night" I fowned
"Oh sorry to here about that" "it's ok let's go into that toy store" we walked in to the toy store and look around.
Molly turns to me and asks "what does your does your sister like"
"She likes to drees up as and princess's" "well then let's go get her a princess dress then". we walk over to the costume section. "here she's loved princess belle here her dress" I pick up the dress and a pair of shoes, we walk over to the desk and pay for the dress and shoes she wraps it up for us at the desk and puts it in a bag "thank you" I say.
"Well u have to get home Molly so I will see you at school tomorrow bye" "bye tee" I jog all the way home, I run all the way up stairs and hide the present under my bed.
