I take my ear buds out. I'm not in the mood today, it's the freaking morning! I look up, and I find out that the wall isn't really a wall. It's a human. A male of the species to be more precise.

"Watch where you're going."

The kid seems rude, and has a bit of an attitude, and he I'm getting mixed vibes from him. I've never seen him around here before. Me, Everly, and Zena have lived here our entire lives, we know everyone here....sadly.

"Well kid I don't know, I'm not in the mood, so I'm on my way to class. Byee."

I admit I was a bit rude, but I blame mother nature on that one.

"Hey sorry, I was wondering where wood shop is, it's my first day, and I'm sorta lost."

Hmm, mister rude seems to have manners. Maybe he's not so rude after all.

"I'm actually on my way there right now let's go."

The kid-I still don't know the name of seemed taken aback that I take wood shop. I think it's pretty cool even though I'm the only girl in the class. I was gonna put my ear buds in again, but then decided against it, as I am now walking with company, and I didn't want to come off as rude anymore than I already have. So I walk with him, while praying he wouldn't talk to me.

"So what's your name?" he asks

Well there goes that wish...

"I'm Zoe, and you are?"

"Damien." he replies

I decided to give him the whole cheesy welcome to school speech, hoping it gets on his nerves. It always does on the new kids, or so I've been told.

"I hope you very much enjoy the school, we have an excellent schooling system, and it'll be easy to make friends, so don't worry."

I was lying through my teeth, and he didn't even notice. I am a pretty good liar.

"Umm thanks.....?"

He seemed skeptical with my sudden friendliness, I bet weirded out as well. OH WELL! We finally reached class, thank gosh! I couldn't take the awkwardness any longer!

"Well, look who finally showed up, you're late as usual, Ms. Summers."

"Chill Mr.S the new kid just bumped into me, and needed to know the way to class."

Mr. Sky looked over me to the not-so-rude-dude-unless-he-wants-to-be also known as Damien.

"Well let's be honest Miss. Summers you were gonna be late anyways so, here's your prize."

He hands me a detention slip, I shrug, and sit in my seat next to David, my partner. Then Mr.S turns his attention on Damien.
