My lips parted and he moved himself away from me. Oh my, he smelt heavenly. "What is a Rose doing in my office when it is Renai who I should be interviewing?" He questioned, leant against the edge of his desk again. My mouth became dry.

"I...I am the sub-" the notepad slipped from my trembling fingers and landed beside my shoe. "Shit, sorry.." I whispered, reaching for it. "It's alright, Ms Lee. There's no need to be anxious- I know exactly who you are and why you are sat in my office." He said, and I glanced up at him. "How?" I questioned.

"I ...mean- of course, you do. Renai sent many emails clarifying that she won't be able to attend." I shook my head. Fuck, I was acting like a fool!

"Would you like some water?" He asked, taking the glass from his desk. I gulped and reached for it from his hands. "Yes, thank you," I breathed. The tips of my fingers lightly brushed over his and I could've sworn I already felt the glass slipping from how clammy my hands had become.

Get a grip. Literally.

"What makes Renai think she is better than my other candidates?" He asked me. I placed the glass down and flicked through the notepad looking for the lost page. "Uhm.." I let out a nervous chuckle. "Sh-she is...uh- bright and...has really excellent social skills, along with being organised and-"

"Stop." He said, interrupting me.

I clenched the paper, feeling the sweat building up around my neck. "Sorry?"

"If my employees did not offer me those basic skills why would I have hired them?" He said, tilting his head. "I want more."

"More?" I repeated.

"Tell me about you."

I scoffed. "I'm sorry-" I paused and shut the notepad. "I don't think I have the basic skills to offer for this job. Also, I'm here as a favour for a close friend."

"And what if I were to tell you that your friend did not get the placement, and it was simply because her substitute was reading me, nothing I haven't heard before, from her useless notepad?"

My lips parted but I couldn't come up with a response. "So unless you have more to offer for me, Ms Lee-"

"What makes you think for a second that I would want to work for you?" I questioned, clenching the notepad. He bit his lip trying to hold back a smile.

"I've read articles about you, Mr Park. I know who you are."

"Who am I?" He asked, and I stood from my chair, stepping closer to him.

"You're a manipulative prick who can't keep it in his pants." Fuck, there goes me and my big mouth-

His jaw tightened. "Those articles..." he began. He stood up straight, hovering over me. "They know nothing. You know nothing. In fact the only person who does know the truth behind these so called scandals, is me." He took another step forward forcing me to take one back.

"Reporters are nothing but a bunch of lowlife's" He growled. "They only pry, Ms Lee."

"What if I told you I was a reporter. Would you kick me out of your office?" I asked, glancing up at him.
