A Treasure Hunter In Mobius (Sonic Underground & Female Reader)

~...The Right Path...~

Two pathways that leads to seemingly identical paths and there stood Y/n scratching her head as she stood in a fork in the road. Y/n looks down at her map it had faded slightly which means that she wasn't sure what way was the right way.

"If only I had more time to prep..." I mumbled to myself looking to my left and right that looked the same, leaning on a near by tree I stared at the fork in the road "...I could've have more time to figure out what way to go..." I put my head in my hands "Ugh! Now what?!" I shouted at myself in frustration.

Meanwhile, the hedgehogs where stuck on the side of the road Sonia tapped her in annoyed as she watched Manic look over the van "Ah ha, I found it!" Manic held up the main source of the problem, a stick.
"A stick!?" Sonic complaints "That's it?!" Manic glares at him "Yeah man, as it turns out when sticks put holes in tires that can cause a real problem!" Manic said sarcastically "Alright, alright but can you fix it?" Sonic said as he rolled his eyes "Wellll I would but someone forgot to bring the extra tire!" He said giving Sonic the side eye.

"Oh!... Oops!" Sonic said as he awkwardly looks away "Sorry, bro but the chilly dogs where calling my name!" He chuckled "Sonic!!" Manic and Sonia yelled at him "Sorry!! But hey it's no problemo~ We can still find her." Sonic shrugged casually "Sure, but now we have to walk! And that'll ruin my hair!" Sonia whined Manic and Sonic exchanged looks.

They walked on the rough lane it was less a road and more path. "So how are we going to get her to trust us?" Sonia asked "Or more importantly, how do we even find her?" Manic asked with more concerned "Isn't obvious?" He gives a cocky grin to his siblings and touching his medallion a bright light shines and his guitar appears "We play music!" They smiled at each other and followed suit. "Well might as will give it a go." Sonia said with her piano ready "Let's rock it!!" Manic already tapping his drum sticks.

Y/n on the other hand had taken a breath and decided to take a chance and pick a route at random, just as she was about to walk ahead she stopped at a sound heard behind her

"Wait what?" Y/n said aloud to herself as she listened to sound

"Is that music?" Curious she walks back and soon finds the hedgehog's but doesn't show herself. "What are they doing? Why are they playing music in an abandoned forest??" Y/n stared at them in confusion.

Gasp! You jump in surprise at suddenly making eye contact with one of the hedgehogs "Hey! We've been looking for you!" Sonic said as he happily waves to you, you back away in shock and about to run away from them, but, before you could Sonic appears behind you Gasp!
"No wait! We have something to talk about!" He smiles at you and you just look at him in confusion.

"So the treasure is a family hairloom?" You asked making sure you have it right "Yep!" Sonic confirms you look away from the triplets "Oh, so... I guess me going for it would cause a problem for you." You say as you rubbed your arm unsure of what to do next.
"So. You know what it is, right?" You asked they laugh awkwardly "No! In fact we don't!" Manic said and Sonia nods "That's why we'd like to work together to find the treasure! And help your town!" Sonia goes on to say "Really?" They nod "Well if that's the case then..." You reach in your bag and bring out the map.

Handing the map to the hedgehog you smiled "Than perhaps you could help me figure out this map!" You say with a chipper tone. Together the four of them look over the map and deciding on which way to go and the four walked ended up walking down the right side of the fork in the road.

You eyed the hedgehogs as you walked with them wondering how they intend to help if not by selling the hidden treasure. "The resistance..." You wondered as you stopped yourself from saying it aloud.

You take a deep breath and decided to try and ask about it "Can I ask something?" You finally say "Go for it!" Manic said "About the resistance... Do you think it could help? The town I live in used to have a bigger population there and then Robotnik took over and many fled to be out of his reach. Many also got roboticzed so everyone else got threatened with that if we didn't listen. My family... Also got roboticzed. I was lucky because Mister Mayor took me in and allowed me to take up treasure hunting. It's my way to help out, you could say." You look too the hedgehogs "What I mean to ask is, if the town joined the resistance do you think we could have enough power to fight back?"

Sonic rubbed his chin in thought "You know Y/n... It sounds too me like the resistance is just what that town needs!" He grins at you giving a thumbs up you smiled at him.

That's when you stopped and your ears peaks up "Wait, did you hear that?" You looked behind you to see a shine. "It's Sleet and Dingo!" Sonia shouted out "Quick hide!" Manic added "What-?" Sonic tryed to protest but Sonia pulled him into the bushes anyway "If he see's us he'd waste our time! And we won't make it on time!" Sonia said as she pushed him into hiding.

You however didn't move as quickly and the red scorpion stopped beside you sending rocks and dust at you. You cough as you waved the dust away as the van before you opened it's doors and Sleet strided out and walked before you.

"Well hello there! I couldn't help but notice you on the road..." Sleet said as he loomed in front of you, he smiled and it sent shivers down your spine "A little birdie told me that you're a treasure hunter and you have something I want!" He puts a hand on your shoulder with a tight grip "Give me the map! And maybe I won't have you roboziced for treason!"

You stumble for your bag and Sleet grabs the map from the bag and holds it up "I'll be taking this!" He declares proudly and realised you form his grip. "Gasp!" You where able to stable yourself and he examined the map, he eyes you "Now than weather you should be roboticzed?" He chuckled you feel your face go pale "Wait, you have the map. Annnd you're so smart! I'm sure you can handle it! There's no need to do anything more, after all... Your a super genius!"

Sleet puffs out his chest and grins, his pride was just oozing from him, he nods in agreement "Well haha I guess I don't need to roboziced you and I'm too busy for that right now!" He said and walked back into his red scorpion and drives away as he goes down the path that you and the hedgehog where going to go.

Sigh You slumped your shoulders and turned to where the hedgehog's where "I'm sorry, I let him take the map... Sigh" you say as you look down at the ground. "Don't worry about Y/n!" Sonia spoke up "I'm more worried about my hair, Eww!" She said as she took leafs out of her hair "And beside I have a photogenic memory!" She said happily "Oh!" You say in surprise.

You and the hedgehogs keep walking and going to a different route managing to avoid Sleets vehicle and arrive at the spot before him. The spot was very... Empty "Are you sure this is the spot?" Manic asked Sonia "I see nothing but rocks!" He continues.
You take in the space looking for any clues that could lead you there, you walk on to the top of an near by hill and noticed a cave at the bottom with rather bigs rocks near it's opening. "Hey! I think I found it!" You say with excitedly and you point it out the cave.

"Nice one Y/n!" Sonic shouts out from his spot and speed over, and you and the hedgehogs stared at the cave ready to go and find the treasure.

A voice spoke up behind us "Well thanks for doing the work for us!"
