Lumine walks into the living room, Arlecchino was sitting on the chair near the fire. Her white and black hair was slightly shining in the fires light.

"Good morning," she said looking up at Lumine.

"Good morning," Lumine said with a smile. She sat down on another chair across from Arlecchino.

Arlecchino sighed, looking at the fire. Lumine looked at her, her X's in her eyes were glowing brightly in the light.

"Is anything wrong?" Lumine said while looking into Arlecchino's eyes.

Arlecchino shook her head, "I just feel like somethings wrong-"

Lumine looked at the fire, confused on what she meant.

Arlecchino stood up and walked over to one of the windows. She pulled the curtain to the side, looking out into the snow covered land. A few dots could be seen in the distance, slowly getting closer. Arlecchino quickly closed the curtain and ran over to the corner of the carpet on the floor. She lifted it, revealing a latch.

Lumine stood up, not sure on what was happening.

"Stay down here, some Fatui are coming," Arlecchino said with seriousness in her voice.

"Do you not want me to help you fight them?" Lumine said quickly.

"No, fighting them will make things worse, just get down here." Lumine hesitated but decided to listen. Arlecchino lifted the latch, revealing a small room full of darkness. Arlecchino grabbed a lit lantern and handed it to Lumine as she climbed down into the room. Lumine stood in the small room, it had some small wooden chairs in it and an empty crate.

Arlecchino looked down at Lumine, "Just be quiet, I'll let you out when their gone." She quickly gave Lumine her large coat, "keep this as well," She closed the latch quickly, the sound of the carpet being thrown over the latch could be heard above.

Lumine sat down as she tried to listen to what was happening above. She could head Arlecchino's footsteps across the house. A loud knock at the door made Lumine jump. The door slowly creaked open, a loud wind broke through and filled the house.

"Oh, hello gentlemen," Arlecchino said, talking to the Fatui. The Fatui responded, the loud wind made it difficult for her to understand them.

The sound of multiple footsteps could be heard, the sound of the door closing.

"We need to look around Ma'am, someone is in the loose in Snezhnaya." One of the Fatui soldiers said.

"Ah, ok, stay as long as you need," Arlecchino said happily.

*Why are the Fatui not reacting to who she is..* Lumine thought as the sounds of footsteps could be heard throughout the house.

The Fatui inspected the house for what felt like forever, the sounds of things being moved around could be heard.

"Have you seen anyone around here recently?" One of the soldiers asked.

"No, I have not. No one ever comes out here." Arlecchino said calmly.

"Well, if you see anyone, report it to the nearby Fatui outpost."

The front door could be heard opening, the sound of footsteps leaving out the door. Lumine relaxed, knowing they were gone. She could hear Arlecchino walking around. Lumine figured she didn't want to let her out until she knew the Fatui were gone. After awhile, the carpet could be heard moving around. Arlecchino lifted the latch and looked down at Lumine.

"I apologise, but they finally left, if you wish to come out." She held out her hand to Lumine to help her out.

Lumine nodded and grabbed her hand. Arlecchino easily lifted her up with one arm, placing her down on the ground. She closed the latch and threw the carpet back over it.

"How were they not scared when they saw you? I expected them to be much less calm-" Lumine said while looking at Arlecchino.

"I'm able to change what I look and sound like to anyone that sees me." Arlecchino said as she turned to Lumine. "That's why they seemed so calm."

"Ohh, that's cool!" Lumine said happily while looking at her.

Arlecchino looked at her in shock, not believing what she said. "You think it's.. cool?"

Lumine handed her back her coat she was holding onto. "Yea! I've never met anyone that can do that."

Arlecchino grabbed her coat, looking away from Lumine. "O-oh, thank you.." She walked over to the chair and sat back down, placing her coat to the side.

Lumine stood there, looking at the fire. "I'm sorry I've caused so much trouble.. this is all happening because I was stupid enough to walk around town.." Lumine sat down on the other chair.

Arlecchino looked up at her, "Don't apologise, it's not your fault. And any of the Fatui that show up won't be able to do anything to me anyways." She said moving some hair from her face. "And they won't be able to hurt you while I'm here."

Lumine nodded silently, looking over at the fire.

Arlecchino noticed she was upset and stood up, walking over to her. She kneeled down in front of her, looking up at her.

"Your not causing any trouble, so don't feel bad." She said as she thought about holding Lumines hands, but decided to not. "Please, don't feel bad.."

Lumine looked down at her, smiling slightly.

"Thank you.."

Arlecchino nodded and stood up, walking to the kitchen. Lumine was left alone with her thoughts, wondering what she should do.

*Should I leave..? I could go to Liyue, I won't cause trouble there..* she looked at the fire.

Arlecchino came into the room with hot chocolate, interrupting Lumines thoughts. She handed Lumine one of them, sitting down on her chair again.

   "Thank you," Lumine said happily.

Arlecchino nodded and started to drink her hot chocolate. Lumine continued to think silently as she drank her hot chocolate as well
