Frozen Love (Arlecchino X Lumine)

Escaping Together

     Lumine woke early one morning, quietly getting up from the bed. Arlecchino always slept in another room, leaving Lumine in a guest room.

   Lumine walked into the main room, seeing Arlecchino making something for breakfast.

   "Good morning," she said happily, making something to eat. "I'm making some French toast if you want some."

   "Good morning, and that sounds amazing." Lumine said standing near Arlecchino. Lumine hesitate to ask something. "Um.. I was wondering.." she said hesitantly, her heart started to race.

   Arlecchino tilted her head, signaling that she was listening.

   "Im.. thinking about going back to Liyue.." she finally said. "I don't want to cause anymore trouble here.. and I don't want to put you in any danger.. but I was wondering.." her heart started to race. "I-if you would like to come with me..?"

   Arlecchino turned to Lumine, her heart slightly racing. "I can come with if you would like, but the Fatui will always be a problem.."

   Lumine nodded, looking away embarrassed.
   "Why do you want me to come with you?" she asked.

    "I-I... like spending time with you.. and I don't know when I'll be back in Snezhnaya.."

    Arlecchino felt relieved that she wasn't the only one. She looked away embarrassed. "I.. like spending time with you as well.."

   Lumine's heart was racing, she awkwardly stood in the kitchen, not knowing what to say.

   Arlecchino stopped the fire and placed the food on plates. She walked over to Lumine and handed her the plate of food. She smiled and tried to hid her blush. Lumine took the plate of food happily.

   Arlecchino sat down at the kitchen table, starting to eat. "So when do you want to leave?" Arlecchino said as she ate her food.

   "Oh, um.. I'm not sure.." Lumine said sitting down across the table from Arlecchino.

    "The sooner we leave, the better." Arlecchino said looking up at Lumine. "I don't like it here anyways-"

    "Oh, I figured all of the Harbingers liked it here in Snezhnaya."

    "Only the ones that are loyal to the Tsaritsa, or the ones that actually like this miserable Ice pit." She said looking down at her food. "And I do not fall into either of those categories."

    Lumine nodded, eating more of her breakfast. "I see, well we can leave whenever you want!"

    "Want to leave when we finish eating?"

    Lumine looked up at her confused, "Really? I wasn't expecting you to want to leave this early."

    "The sooner we leave, the faster we'll beat the snow storm," she stood up with her empty plate. "And I don't have anything I'm this home that I need to keep or that I'm particularly attached to." *I just want to leave with you..* her thoughts made her blush.

    "Oh! Then we can go ahead and leave in a little bit then." Lumine stood up with her empty plate. "And thank you for breakfast, it tasted amazing."

    Arlecchino nodded and smiled. She placed the plates in the sink and then walked into the other room. She grabbed a bag of hers and started to place blankets and other necessities in it. "Lets just bring some blankets, and that'll be all we really need."

   Lumine nodded and took the bag Arlecchino already finished packing. She started packing another bag with some food and water.
Arlecchino's heart was racing with excitement, she didn't know where exactly they were going to go, but she was secretly excited to be with Lumine. She lifted the bag full of food and placed it over her shoulder.

   "Ready?" Arlecchino said looking over at Lumine.
   Lumine wasn't expecting to leave so soon, but she was ready. "Yep, let's go." Both of them threw their coats on before opening the door.

   Arlecchino opened the front door, the wind coming into the house making both of them cold. Lumine happily walked out of the house, trying not to slip on the ice near the door. Arlecchino closed the door behind them and latched it. She walked by Lumine and lead the way.

   "How about we make our first check point one of the hotels on our way to Liyue?" She said as she walked. Lumine happily followed behind, looking up at her.

   "Yea, that's what I was thinking. We could rest up and then almost to Liyue city the next day." Lumine said walking next to Arlecchino.

   "It's winter time in Liyue, right?" Arlecchino asked as they walked by the snow covered trees.

   "Yea, it was pretty cold when I left Liyue to get here."

   "Joy, more cold." Arlecchino said blankly.
