As the 60 contestants pile into the large theater, an unsettling silence enraptures the room; everyone seems nervous even to breathe too loudly. After a while, two people, identified as the co-captain of the Minty Magic, walk onto the stage. Some recognize Im Joon and Lee Jihu and immediately erupt into cheers and applause.
"Hello everyone," Jihu manages to make out during a short pause in all the noise and commotion.
"WELCOME TO WALK THE PLANK!" Joon shouts, only causing the group of contestants to shout louder than before.
The scene cuts and suddenly the room is dead quiet again.
"Welcome to the Minty Magic, which, hopefully, will be your new home for the next few months. Usually, we would welcome you with open arms, but this ..., this is a special situation," Joon explains, shifting her weight from one foot to the other.
"Basically, our ship has been seized by some ... unfriendly pirates," Jihu continues bluntly. "This was supposed to be a relaxing and meaningful retreat for you guys to improve in your skills, I'm afraid it'll be a more hostile and stressful competition-"
"TO THE DEATH!" Joon adds, practically screaming. "In the Kpop industry, it really is a fight to survive in the great sea of groups and artists, so this will only prepare you for the real deal once you debut."
