Chapter 1

Ruban: So you better do my homework next time.
Kayla: (nods)
Ruban: (lets go of her) (walks off)
Kayla: (lays her head back) (sighs)

-After School-

Ruban: Get in.
Kayla: What? Why?
Ruban: Kayla, I said get in!
Kayla: (gets in)
Ruban: (gets in on other side)
Kayla: 16 Gover street.
Driver: (puts it into GPS) (drives)
Kayla: (gets phone out) (starts texting)
Ruban: Who you texting?
Kayla: Just my boss.
Ruban: (rolls eyes)

-At Her Place-

Kayla: (goes in)
Ruban: (follows) Why is there baby things in your house?
Kayla: I babysit as a part time job.
Ruban: Can't you just ask your parents for money?
Kayla: No.
Ruban: Can we just start already? (sits on couch)

-1 Hour Later-

Kayla: Done.
Ruban: (packs his things up) (goes)
Kayla: (sighs) (goes to room) (takes a shower)

-After The Shower-

Kayla: (goes to bed) (takes blade) (stares at it) (cuts herself on the shoulder) (lets it bleed for a bit) (wipes it off) (wraps a bandage around shoulder) (puts pj on)
Gia: Kayla, I'm back!
Kayla: (puts blade away) (goes to the living room)
Leo: Mama!
Kayla: (picks him up) Hey buddy, did you have fun with aunt Gia at the movies?
Leo: Mhm! We saw Spider-Man! He was flying in the sky.
Kayla: (giggles) Thank you, Gia. I'll make it up to you by working double shifts.
Gia: It’s okay, I offered.
Kayla: You sure?
Gia: Yea.
Kayla: Thank you, Gia. See you tomorrow at work.
Gia: Bye. (goes)
Kayla: (closes door)

-Next Day-

-During PE-

Teacher: Today, we’re gonna work on the field. Go get dressed.

-After Getting Dressed-

Teacher: Kayla, what's wrong with your shoulder?
Kayla: I got hurt yesterday. The doctor just put a bandage around it to prevent infection.
Teacher: Can you take it off? We need photos for open day.
Kayla: No, sorry sir.
Teacher: It’ll only take a few seconds.
Girls: (whispering)
Kayla: (looks at shoulder) (bleeding through bandage)
Teacher: (sighs) Go to the nurse.
Kayla: (nods) (goes)
Teacher: Lets get going!

-At The Nurse-

Nurse: Kayla, I told you to message me if you have urges. Was Leo giving you a hard time?
Kayla: Leo was out with Gia yesterday.
Nurse: (puts a new bandage on) Then what happened?
Kayla: You know that rich kid, Ruban?
Nurse: Yea? What did he do?
Kayla: He came to my place to make sure that I do his homework. Let’s just say he wasn’t very nice.
Nurse: I’m sorry that he’s making it harder for you. Say if you need anything alright?
