OH HEY GUYS.This is my rewrite. I haven't written much of it so far, but this is my second draft. I like it a lot more than the first one ❤️
Please enjoy this one as much as I do.
Im going to dedicate this story to the people I based my characters off of. You know who you are 😚
ENJOY!!!-
The bright sun always shined through the thick forest green trees. The cold Winter would turn into a breezy Spring, then to the long Summer nights that would turn into chilly Autumn mornings. Eventually, Winter would be back.
Repetition of the rustling leaves, connected to the dark barked trees that roots sit as still as the breeze on a warm summer day. This forest was, not magic, but mythical.
The animals filled the woodlands. Deer would move through swiftly, but comfortably. Rabbits would chew as their tiny, but fast teeth nibbled at the small carrots they stole from the gardens within the wooded area. The gardens belonging to the Eloimad Village.
This village was small, only 1,000 acres of property that was built. The only amount of forest allowed to be built on. Even though the forest was 8,000 acres. The rest was infested with creatures and animals.
Fireflies flew during the night, lighting up a pathway if you asked politely. While fairies sprinkled fairy dust on you. Although it wasn't ever enough to make you fly like they did, it was a nice gesture that only they thought could help.
Widels were just as clueless.
Little elves. They lived in the roots of trees. One of the only creatures in the forest that had a place considered a 'town'. Though, their town was underground. Some would say bunkers, others would say tunnels. When they themselves would describe it as only their 'home' with how united they were.
Those weren't the only elves to roam the forest, though.
Elemen Elves. Born with abilities of the Elements. Who make up the Eloimad Village.
Sounds self-explanatory, but not everyone understands the first time.
Water, Fire, Air, and Earth. Elements of the world.
Elves in control of their assigned elements at birth. What more could they want? Being in control of rain, heat, oxygen, and plants, which was only the basics, sounded like a dream. For a long while, it was.The Eloimad Village consisted of every normal thing. Shops that sold yarn, restaurants opened until midnight, bakeries selling classic brownies or cookies made with love, Elves living together as one big group of creatures do. What could you say? They were normal. Not much different from anyone else. Average height, had eyes, although not everyone's worked. All had limbs, unless born without them, or an accident. All conscious of everything. The only thing different from them and your people is that they had abilities.
Oh, and pointy ears!
Ears aren't too important, but you can easily tell the difference between elves and other creatures by their ears. Ears are one of the best ways to differentiate them between anything.
Though, if someone is sprouting water from just their palm, or engulfing their hands in a torch of flames, they're most likely an elf.
That's because your people cannot do that.
-
Elves are more toned down than Widels. Get in an argument with a Widel, they go for your toes if it bothers them too much.
Get in an argument with an elf, they're most likely to agree to disagree, and move on. If not, you're toast! Your people can't fight back as good...from experience.
Luckily, elves are more friendly with each other. If they weren't, it would be a mystery as to why their town wasn't burnt to the ground yet. Anyone would suspect the burnt land would be the works of a misbehaved fire elf. Though, it's positive the works of the flames would be from an air elf, pinning the blame on their fellow elf buddies. They're mischievous.
They have bumpy roads throughout their town that's fortunately still standing. The scent of bakeries fills the air every morning, while in some areas, you could smell the smoke from the small factories.
Gardens outside of their cottages. Getting robbed by sneaky robbing rabbits.
Sometimes flower pots sit on fire escapes at apartments. Usually found broken on the ground the next morning. So, Earth elves would plant them in a safer spot.
People treated for everything at the hospital. Just because they have abilities to make their life easier, does not mean they're immune to allergies and the flu.
Families walk down the road. Kids play at the park, or flood the streets after school for a quick snack at a shop, or at the grocery store.
Older elves usually sit outside, with a tea cup in hand, reading a book from many years ago. They had probably been alive while it was being written.
Immature teens would joke around with each other, tripping over their feet, or pushing one another playfully.
Young adults, in and out of college. Everyone had a bright future, no matter the circumstance. Nothing could go wrong in such a perfect elf life. How could something go wrong?
Not all elves knew each other, but they did know that they were all trustworthy. Most of them at least.
Not all good things must come to an end. This was a start of a new beginning. Well, what they thought was a new beginning. With no interruptions. Peaceful, fresh, trusting elf society. Surrounded by narrow and thick trees that curved in, guarding them from seeing the full sky. The sky they could only wish to look at fully. The moon, stars, clouds were mostly covered. It would be easier to see something everyone dreamed to see where there stood no trees. Like plain lands. The Forest ended at some point, right?
It surely did.
At the end of the 8,000 acres, there was clear land, with no habilitation in sight. Which is what most thought.
But why were they prohibited to go deeper into the forest, other than their town? The other creatures were allowed to. Why weren't they?
Their 1,000 acre town was in the middle of the forest, closer West, but still somewhere in the middle. They knew more than just plain lands were out there. More than just wild animals. There was more to everything in this world, and way more beyond the Forest. It would be hard to believe that no other habilitation was out there, that wasn't mythical creatures.
Their town was already surrounded by other small towns that weren't nearly as big as theirs. Small towns from other creatures. But those small towns were made by living creatures they already knew. Like Badons, Leotans, and Purcioxs. And if a poll was brought up within the creatures, those would be considered more dangerous than any other living thing in this forest.
But in the history books, everyone knew the term 'war' didn't sound good once it started being associated into the same sentence as the term 'Elves'.
