Possesed Memories

Lloyds POV

Morro was fighting me. No matter how hard I struggled, he stopped me. Morro sensed me fighting him.

No no, little one. Can't let you free. I struggled more with his words. I heard him sigh.

We're doing this the hard way, then. I gasped as he started looking through my memories.

"Stop!" I told him. "Stop, please!" I heard him laugh. The darkness around me was swirling with colors and sounds.

Hmm, how about..... THIS ONE. He stopped looking. I know this one. It was about the time I started having feelings for Kai. Holding in my tears, I let the memory play, knowing I was powerless to stop it.

Third person POV

They were all in their shared bedroom. Sensei had told them to go to bed, but nobody listened. They didn't know that Sensei knew. But Sensei didn't care. As long as they were quiet. Lloyd was reading a book. He had been feeling off all day. He would have asked Zane to scan him, but he didn't want to be a bother. Lloyd was terrified of annoying people. Lloyd had hardly eaten all day. Whenever he did, his stomach got queasy. His headache flared. He was ninety percent certain he had a fever. Suddenly, he stood up, scaring everyone. They had all forgotten he was there. Lloyd hurried to the bathroom, mentally cursing that his bed was the farthest away. He shut the door behind him. As soon as he got in front of the toilet, he threw up. He heard a knock on the door, but he didn't answer.

"Lloyd?" He couldn't tell who asked. He threw up again. The door creaked open. Someone came into the room, shutting the door behind them.

"Lloyd?" The voice asked again. He sensed someone sitting next to him. He turned his head slightly. The person had red pajamas on.

"K-Kai?" He asked. He felt stupid for not recognizing his friend's voice sooner.

"I'm here. Are you okay?" Kai must not know Lloyd got sick. He was going to answer when he got sick again.

"Oh." That was all Kai said. Kai moved behind him.

"What are you doing?"  Lloyd rasped out. Kai didn't respond. His shirt was lifted off of him. Kai set it down next to him. He felt a warm hand rubbing small, soothing circles on his back. Lloyd closed his eyes. Lloyd shivered. He felt Kai hug him.

"Are you done throwing up for now?" Kai asked. Lloyd nodded.

"I think so." His voice was shaky. Why was it so shaky?

"Good." Kai stood and flushed the toilet. He grabbed a small plastic cup and filled it with water. Handing it to Lloyd, he said, "Rinse out your mouth with this. It'll help." Lloyd stood shakily and took the water. Rinsing out his mouth, he felt weak and leaned against the counter.

"I won't allow that," Kai said, moving behind Lloyd. Loosely wrapping his arms around Lloyd's waist, he pulls Lloyd against him. Lloyd gladly accepts his help. Finishing the water, he sets the cup down.

"Let's get you to bed," Kai said. Lloyd got a glimpse of himself in the mirror. He was pale, paler than usual, at least. He looked horrible. No wonder they checked on him. Kai opened the door, leading him out of the bathroom.

"He's okay, guys. Just a little sick."

"He should sleep closer to the bathroom, just in case," Zane said. Lloyd was still leaning against Kai. They all noticed how tired he looked. Kai set him down in his bed.
