"I've been rejecting him for himself, Tikki, this is a mess!" Marinette said, talking into her pillow.
"Marinette, he loves you." Tikki hugged her cheek and smiled.
"No, he loves Ladybug, not me." Marinette started to weep.
"You are Ladybug Marinette, he can't love a mask, he loves the person behind the mask. Your that person." Tikki comforted her.
"Ok... we should probably get to sleep, even though we have one class and then the rest of a free period." Marinette laughed and Tikki joined in. She flicked off the light and fall onto her pillow, falling asleep almost instantly.
RING RING RING RING RING
Marinette's alarm rang in her ear as she extended her hand to turn it off.
"Morning Tikki." She said, with her eyes barely opened.
"Good Morning!" Tikki flew up to her bed.
"You're up early. What's the rush?" Marinette laughed.
"Oh nothing, I'm just excited that you may actually be able to form a sentence infront of Adrien." Tikki smiled "It's exhausting having to watch you trip over yourself over and over again."
"OH NO I FORGOT ABOUT LAST NIGHT!" Marinette slammed her head into her pillow.
"Marinette it will be fine! You need to get dressed, you've only got 20 minutes." Tikki pointed to the time.
"AH! Your right!" Marinette zoomed out of bed to get her clothes on, she changed into her usual grey jacket with her pink jeans and white shirt.
"Why don't you try something different?" Tikki asked her.
"Like what?" She replied.
Tikki pulled out a dress that was black and pink, it had a pink skirt and a black shirt with a whitewash colour.
"Oh my gosh I haven't worn this on forever." Marinette took it from Tikki's small hands and quickly changed into it.
"You look amazing Marinette." Tikki crept behind her as she looked at herself in the mirror.
"Thanks Tikki." Marinette kissed her on the forehead and opened her purse, gesturing her to fly in.
She ran downstairs and took a croissant and a few cookies.
"Bye!" She shouted to her parents, who were busy tending to the early morning customers.
She arrived at school and walked up to Alya.
"I see your switching up your outfit! You look amazing." Alya smiled at her.
"Thanks." She did a courtesy and they both laughed.
"We better head to class, we've got exactly 48 seconds." Alta took Marinette's hand and they both ran up every set of stairs that were in the way. They arrived inside the classroom as the final bell went.
"Just on time." Miss Bustier smiled and they sat down.
"That was close." Marinette whispered to Alya and she laughed. Marinette could feel eyes on the back of her head, but not just one pair, it was like the entire class was staring at her. She glimpsed back to see half of the class staring at her, including Adrien.
"Today we have a group project! You will be set in groups of four." Miss Bustier butted in.
"You'll be sorted by the order of seats, for example... Nino, Alya, Adrien and Marinette will be a group."
Marinette froze, she said her and Adrien were in the same group. She can't talk to him, especially after something so huge.
"Wow girl, looks like you're gonna be in luck." Alya whispered to her and winked.
Miss Bustier read out all the other groups and Nino and Adrien turned to Alya and Marinette.
"So what's the first order of buisness, we can write a story on whatever we would like." Nino asked them.
"How about one about Ladybug and Chat Noir?" Alya replied and Marinette fall of her chair.
"THE BATHROOM NEEDS ME!" She screamed and ran out the room.
"I think she meant she needs the bathroom." Alya's eyes followed Marinette running down to the toilets.
"If we can write a story about anything we want, why don't we write about something more original? Someone else will probably write about them anyway." Adrien asked Alya.
"Yea you have a point." She replied back.
"I can't do this Tikki!" Marinette was pacing in the stall.
"Yes you can! You've defeated hawk moth with him! What's a little group project?" Tikki reassured her.
"A lot!" Marinette was sat on the toilet.
"You just need to breathe." Tikka patted her shoulder.
"O-Ok." Marinette collected herself and Tikki flew back into her purse.
She ran up the stairs and walked back into the classroom, sitting back in her seat.
"I'm fine with anything." Marinette was staring at her desk, refusing to look up.
"Good because we decided on a sad story." Alya responded.
"Oh ok!" Marinette was calm on the outside but having an entire party in her head.
"Ok so, let's all meet at the Eiffel Tower and then we can start there." Nino replied, throwing his bag on his shoulder.
"Ok, come on girl let's go." Alya scooped up her and Marinette's bag, grabbing her hand in the motion.
"Woah why the rush?" Marinette was being dragged out of the door as Alya ran down the stairs.
"You're acting weirder then normal." Alya crossed her arms as she swerved both of them behind the stairs.
"Oh am I?" Marinette tried to act surprised.
"What are you hiding?" Alya smirked.
"NOTHING!" She shouted, with her entire body stiffening.
"Girl you can tell me." Alya reassured her as she gasped "Is there something going on between you and Adrien?!" She squealed.
"No! Not yet..." Marinette said under her breathe.
"Not yet? You're talking!?" Alya started dancing.
"Yes... No... I don't know ok?" Marinette grabbed her pigtails.
She looked at Adrien, who was talking to Nino at the wall behind Alya. They caught each others eye and Adrien winked at her, with Nino looking at her. He clearly said something to him but she couldn't see.
"Are you blushing?" Alya waved her hand infront of her face.
"No! I need to essay for the practice!" Marinette replied, clearly flustered, as she ran off towards the locker room, with Alya's gaze following her as she turned around to go to Nino and Adrien.
"No you winked at her!" Nino shouted.
"What's going on?" Alya butted in.
"He winked at Marinette and won't admit it!" Kim bustled from behind.
"Oh is that why she was blushing?" Alya smirked at Adrien.
"Pfffft! Me? Wink at Marinette! Like i'd ever date her!" Adrien nervously laughed.
"What?" Alya dropped her school bag.
"You messed up bad dude." Nino whispered. Alya screamed and ran towards Adrien before Nino and Kim could restrain her.
"HOLY SHIT!" Adrien's back was pressed against the wall with Alya clawing at him.
"YOUR GIRLFRIENDS CRAZY!" Adrien shouted to Nino.
"I'M BUSY PREVENTING HER FROM KILLING YOU!" Nino was dragging Alya back from Adrien, or at least attempting to.
"LET ME AT HIM! LET ME AT HIM!" She was screaming.
"SATIRE! SATIRE!" Adrien's hands were raised in the air.
"I suggest you run dude, she's stronger now you've riled her up." Kim was even struggling, and he was one of the strongest in the school.
Adrien slipped from Alya's gaze and ran into the locker room.
Marinette was sat with her back against her locker as Adrien walked towards his locker.
"AH!" Marinette accidentally shouted.
"MARINETTE?" Adrien shouted back in reply.
"Is Alya coming?!" Marinette stood up.
"HAHA! YOU'VE MESSED UP BAD KID!" A voice from his jacket came as Plagg flew out.
"Alya's crazy! She nearly killed me!" Adrien was pointing at the window and they both walked over to see Alya being sat on a bench, drinking some apple juice with Nino patting her shoulder. She looked towards the locker room and saw Adrien and Marinette, she instantly shot up and sprinted towards them.
"FRIG!" Adrien shouted and pushed Marinette into her open locker, slamming the door behind her.
"ADRIEN AGRESTE?! I WILL KILL YOU WITH MY BARE HANDS!" Alya screamed from the top of her lungs as a rushed Nino, Ivan and Kim ran in behind her.
"Holy shit what did you do?" Marinette whispered to him.
"He said he would never date you then Alya got mad and nearly scratched his eyeballs out." Plagg was floating next to Adrien's face, eating camembert of course.
"He said what?" Tikki flew out of Marinette's purse and looked at Adrien.
"IT WAS SATIRE!" Adrien shouted without realising.
"THERE YOU ARE!" They heard Alya's footsteps stomp towards Marinette's locker. She was banging on the door.
"I'm sorry Marinette!" Adrien whisper shouted as he grabbed Marinette's face and kissed her just as Alya burst down the door.
"Oh uh bye!" Alya saw what was happening and instantly shut the door. Adrien pulled away from Marinette.
"SORRY SORRY SORRY!" Adrien was covering his face with his hands. Marinette was stood in shock.
"I-It's fine-" Marinette was stuttering uncontrollably.
"Did that just happen?" Plagg whispered to Tikki, who were both bewildered.
"If you saw them kiss, then yes..." Tikki whispered back.
"I NEED TO GO!" Marinette grabbed Tikki and ran out of the locker room.
"I messed up." Adrien watched Marinette frantically run up the stairs.
"Yea-" Plagg shoved another cheese in his mouth "Atleast you kissed Ladybug and remembered it this time."
"Sure-" Adrien opened his jacket as Plagg flew in.
