Agnes had revealed herself to Wanda as Agatha Harkness. She is a powerful witch that has been around since the Salem Witch trials. Wanda was in Agatha's basement after trying to look for her boys, who were now missing. "Hmm? Hmm? What? No, I know. She does look shocked to meet the real us, doesn't she?" Agatha says to her rabbit, Señor Scratchy.
Wanda's eyes started to glow red as she tried to get inside Agatha's head. Agatha laughs. "Oh...that's adorable. My thoughts are not available to you, toots. They never, ever were. So don't go givin' yourself a migraine. We've got work to do."
"Where are my children?" Wanda asks.
"Where are my children?" Agatha mocked. "That accent really comes and goes, doesn't it?"
"Where are they?" Wanda asks again. She tries to use her powers on Agatha, but they don't work.
"Oh, you're magic's no good here," Agatha says.
With a wave of her hands, she restrains Wanda's hands and feet with purple energy and brings Wanda forward, making her float in the air. "Didn't you notice? Basic protection spell, one in each wall? No? Nothing?" Wanda looks around the basement and sees purple glowing symbols on the wall.
"These are runes, Wanda. In a given space, only the witch that cast the runes can use her magic." Agatha explained. "How do you not know the fundamentals?"
