Cooking up a storm

Part 6

October 15th

Alessia's POV:
Its been a little over a month since we came back to Utd after our break in the summer and it's been a perfect start for us so far, we've had an unbeaten start to the season which has morale at a real high right now around training, this season just feels different for us we are really tight as a group and that's finally coming off on the pitch and it feels like everything we've been working on is finally paying off.

We have some tactical training and team bonding activities in training today to get us ready for our game against Brighton tomorrow so it's not too intense on our bodies but still gets us prepared.

We get to the training centre for about 9am for 10am training, we being me and Ella as I'm giving her a lift today because her car is in the garage, "you ready for tomorrow" I ask Ella
"Yea defo I'm feeling really good we've started so strong and we just keep getting better" she replies with the perfect attitude
"Yea I get you it just feels different this time round, even in pre season we have just clicked as a group" we both had a little heart to heart and a joke around while getting ready for training.

It's about 12:30 by the time we finish training and safe to say we're all buzzing to get out and play tomorrow because we know what we're capable of but more importantly we're all buzzing for lunch right now! Once we got changed me and the usual girls head to the canteen and to our usual tables with our food, we were chatting for about 20 minutes when we all noticed Abi still hadn't came down which was strange because she almost always has lunch with us and when she can't she usually tells one of us she'll be late, "anyone heard from Abi today?" I try to ask nonchalantly but I think everyone at this table has noticed my not so small crush on her by this point because I am awful at hiding it as I've been reminded many times by Mary and Ella
"No but her car was in the car park so she's definitely in today" Zel replies
"Yea I seen her this morning in her office on my way in, she looked busy tho so I didn't go in" keets added
"You know what she's like she'll just be getting on with her work" Millie assured
After that we just carried on chatting about anything and everything that wasn't football for about 30 minutes just to unwind a bit away from the pitch.

Once we had decided to get ready and head home for the day I met Tooney at the exits since I was driving her home, "you're a hero Less honestly"
"It's all good mate it's on my way home anyways" I reassured her
Once we got in the car we just had a bit of a karaoke session as per and we're joking around till Ella turned the music down and looked at me, "so Less I'm gonna ask you something and you know can be honest with me you know I won't judge" she starts
"oh god what" I say
"Do you like Abi?" She tentatively asks me I can't say I'm surprised she asked me this, again, I am rubbish at hiding how I'm feeling
"I'll be honest yea I think I do like her but I've never been with a girl before so I don't know what to do or how to go about this Ella and I've tried find something I don't like about her so I can stop feeling the way I do but I can't she makes me laugh, she dies these little things like she always pulls my chair out for me at lunch, she'll save me the yoghurt I like if there's only one left, she's just perfect and I don't know what to do anymore" I quickly rambled while driving, I hear Ella giggle beside me so I give her a questioning look, "what are you laughing at I'm being serious?" I cried out
"Alessia in all the years I've known you I never guessed you were THIS oblivious" I just look at her confused again
"Oh my days she like you as well do you not see the way she looks as you every time we're all together it's as if the rest of us aren't there, and yes you do the exact same" she exclaimed and I am just in shock
"So what do I do Ella I've never been in the situation before" I say getting nervous
"Why don't you go round to her house and talk to her I'll give you her address and you can talk it out" she said starting the plan
"Are you sure she won't think I'm some creep just showing up unannounced at her house" I questioned
"No she won't think you're and creep and I'm sure she'll be just as happy to see you" she teased
"Okay okay fine I'll go later today" I sighed I knew I had to talk to her at some point but I didn't think I'd be doing it today. As I dropped Ella off she told me to keep her updated on the situation which I obviously agreed to as I'd need her to calm me down probably anyways.
