It was a peaceful weekend afternoon in the Curtis household with almost everyone in the gang just there hanging out, almost everyone. The missing gang member was Johnny Cade, and nobody really knew where he was, Dallas was the last one to see Johnny that day as they went to Bingos for breakfast that morning, but after that, they went their separate ways, Johnny didn't tell Dallas where he was going, or doing, all he said was "It's a surprise" before he left, leaving Dallas to do his own thing without his lover, and confused.

The gang sat around the living room, Pony on the couch laughing as he watched his brother lose another game of card to Steve with Dally sitting on the far right of the couch and Two-bit sitting on the left of him on the floor as he chatted with Darry who was sitting in his soft recliner reading the newspaper.

Dallas looked up from the t.v to the door as he fidgeted with his necklace, "Aw come on Dal, your boyfriend will surely come soon!"Two-bit remarked getting a laugh out of Ponyboy, but it was quickly ended when Dallas glared at him, "Shut up Two-bitch" Dallas hit the back of the older boy's head, almost making him spill his beer all over the gray carpeted floor.

A few more minutes have passed, and there was still no sight of Johnny around, this caused Dal to become more fidgety, and impatient. Dallas stood up, and started to head towards the door before he could even reach the doorknob Two-bit like always had something to say, "Awww, come on Dilly Dally can't you be patient enough?" Dallas mumbled a "fuck you" giving him a small middle finger before he head out the door.

He leaned on the porch railing, pulled out a pack of Marlboro, and his bright red lighter, lit up the cig, and he started to smoke. Watching the view around the house as he smoked, he noticed a small dark figure appear on the far right of his eye, he turned his head seeing his boyfriend Johnny walking up to the house looking down at the small red patterned bag in his hands.

Dallas smiled at the boy, when Johnny looked up from his bag, noticing the boy on the porch he gave him a big wave, running over to him. "Hey, Dally!" Johnny said as he made it up to the porch, "Hey babycakes" Dallas took the cig out of his mouth before he stomped it down on the light brown wooden floor. As the blond walked closer to the boy about to wrap his arm around him, he noticed something, well it was more something on him.

"Johnny, what the fuck is on you, man?" the taller boy carefully placed his hand on Johnny's shoulder picking up a white hair that was piled around his clothing with the other fur, "It's cat fur" Johnny answered happily tilting his head, Dallas just sighed shaking his head as he covered up his smile with his hand, "Come on cakes" Dallas grabbed onto the collar of Johnny's jean jacket which also had cat hair littered all over it.

"Oh hey Johnny, you're finally here!" Sodapop looked up from his cards, smiling brightly, as Johnny was about to escape from Dally's grip to hug his buddy he was pulled back, "Come on, you too can hug later, Darry you got any clean clothes Johnny can borrow?" Dallas asked, Darry looked up from the newspaper "Yeah we got some, why?", "He got cat fur plastered all over him" Dallas pulled Johnny into the two brothers' room, handing him clean clothes he had picked out for him, "Go get yourself clean baby" Johnny nodded, handing him the small bag, "Don't open it yet, please?" Dallas nodded, smiling down at the shorter boy, ruffling his fur-invested hair, Johnny smiled up at his lover, before pulling away from his touch, and running away, and into the bathroom.

After Johnny left, Dallas took a slight peak at the red bag, of course, he didn't want to see everything that was not to upset his boyfriend, but just wanted to take a small peak due to his curiosity that has been growing ever since what Johnny had said to him before he left after breakfast.

He was only able to see some more red stuff in there through the dark crinkle paper. He closed the bag, carried it with him to the living room, and placed it down on the table before he went back out there.
