Cale's mother had just died when the war started. It had come unexpected when the kingdom started a kingdom wide evacuation.
What's worse is that he was separated from his father... and his new family. They had been forced into different carriages when his father left with his new step mother and family, leaving him upstairs in the wing.
Fortunately, Ron had come to get him as he was asleep, but his father had already left by now and was too late to go back in time.
Soon, he had met Choi han, to which he commented that the village was cursed. The result? He got beaten up, and a few days later, Ron and Beacrox left him for the person who beaten him.
The war continued, with Cale being separated, and his family away at the palace. He enlisted as a scout but was captured by the enemy and was controlled.
After a year, he slowly managed to get control back and was now in the position of working as a middleman between Arm and the Royals.
He tried to help the Roan Kingdom as much as possible without seeming suspicious to Arm, yet all they return is by attacking him, and nearly killing him.
Leaving him to wonder; Was this worth all the pain? If the Roan Kingdom did win, what would they think of him? Their so called hero, hated him and most likely would tell them that.
And if Arm won... what would happen to his family? Would he ever forgive himself if they died?
"Cadet no.3 it's your turn for shift. Get to it."
"Yes sir." He replied.
Okay, this was it, it was time to end this once and for all. He walked out onto the stage and stood at the pedestal with the Arm representative on the left, and the Roan independence on the right.
He was currently on a mission where all the two sides have to do is sign the contract, and the war would end. But Arm had rigged the contract and made the signature transfer to another paper where the Roan Kingdom will be slaves for eternity.
Cale, of course, didn't want that, so swapped the papers around. Hoping that the Arm leader wouldn't notice.
"There's a tension in the air, I can almost taste it."
"And I guess I should be scared,to know I'll have to face it."
The two sides step closer, each holding a pen in hand with shining smiles on their faces like they were friends.
"How the time passes ey? I'm pretty sure just yesterday you were on your last legs and fleeing from me." White star bragged out, like he was the one going to win.
"We'll have to see about that."
"In this twisted truth or dare, that never changes."
"But I'm not playing anymore. It's the end of the world."
