In another world where Og! Cale gets questioned during the war by one of his squad mates, on why he was so different from when he was young.
But his past is a bit different... And so is his future.
___Cale chuckled dispirited, he held the wine in his glass and swirled it around. He had a serious look in his eyes that made people curious on his answer.
He opened his mouth before closing it again, he grabbed a magic projector from out of his bag and laid it on the table.
"Woah! Where did that come from?!"
"This here is a antique I found a while back, it helps you project your memories."
"But why would you need it?" They asked, to which Cale smirked.
"For this." He snapped his fingers and suddenly they were in a completely different place than before.
They were now standing in a dim room while a storm could be heard rumbling in the background, what caught their attention more though was the distinct sound of arguing and a kid crying.
Cale lead them over to a door, the closer they went the more they could hear the sounds. Arriving at a door there was a small figure covered in a blanket huddled near the door.
The crying was now right in front of them, the small kid was shivering as they lightning struck and a loud crash could be heard from outside the door.
"Where is this? And how can they not see us."
They had tried to comfort the child to no avail, it was like they couldn't be seen at all. Their group even tried looking out the door only to phase through and see a couple arguing?
The two had angry looks on their faces yet that wasn't what they focused on, they were more entranced by how similar they look to Cale.
On a closer look, they figured out the male on the right was indeed Cale's father, Deruth Henituse.
While on the left, was a woman with long, flowy, crimson red hair, so similar to the person right next to them.
"Are... these your memories?"
Cale nodded as he pointed to the small child huddled in front of the door, "You are correct, this child is the past me."
"But why are you showing us this?"
"To answer your question, why am I so different from before?"
Cale looked around the room, before sitting on a nearby chair and leaned himself against it.
"When I was young, my parent discover that I... was different from each other."
"I may have had their looks and personalities combined, but I am too mature for a child, I could crawl at the age of nine months."
"They started thinking... that perhaps I wasn't their son, each accusing the other for tricking them, either with magic or cheating."
"Yet it didn't exactly do wonders for the young me. I was always seeking for their attention yet they focused on how I'm... not their child."
