Just give him a chance

I woke up and looked at my phone and it was 1pm. I didn't sleep good last night. That flash back I had gave me nightmares, it was horrible. I kept on reliving my past and I just wish it would stop. I need to get up and take a shower from sweating last night from the dreams, but my bed is so warm. I end up getting out and taking a shower anyways.

After my shower I put on some sweat pants and a black shirt. I put my hair up in a messy bun and don't worry about putting makeup on. I go downstairs to see Hadley sitting at the table with her phone and her breakfast. "Good morning!" She says while getting up and hugging me. "Good morning." I say back. "What's wrong?" She asks.

"The nightmares are back." I say with no emotion. Hadley has always been there for me when I had the nightmares. "Oh no, I'm so sorry Annie. Everything's going to be ok. I promise." She said while hugging me. We were both crying now. She was very close to Jeffery. They were like brother and sister, she had nightmares for a while but they stopped.

Justin walks into the kitchen, but backs up when he sees what's going on. I pull away from Hadley and wipe my eyes and get a plate for my toast that I'm about to put in the toaster. Justin looks at me and I can tell I hurt him last night. I really do feel bad and I'm going to apologize later. He gets some yogurt and walks away without saying anything.

"What was that about?" Hadley asks while putting her plate into the dish washer. I can't tell her, "I don't know." I say quickly hoping she doesn't suspect anything. "Okaaay.." She says with her eyebrows scrunched together. "So how was your date last night?" I ask trying to change the subject. "Oh, it wasn't a date. It could've been if he didn't talk about you the whole time!" She said while laughing.

"He was talking about me?" I asked. "Yeah, I mean it was only good stuff! Don't worry." She said. "What did he say?" I ask curiously. "He was talking about how beautiful you were and how he wanted to kiss you or something like that." She said with her eyes wide. "Really?" I asked shocked. "Yeah Annie, he really likes you. I know what you promised to Jeffery, but if I were you I would just give him a chance. He deserves it." She says in a serious voice. Maybe I should give him a chance. I mean, Jeffery would want me to be happy wouldn't he? Justin might actually be able to make me happy. I have a lot of thinking to do.
