The news

I woke up this morning by the peaceful sound of birds chirping. My mom comes into my room and sits down next to me on my bed.

"Good morning sweetie" she says to me. "Good morning mom" I say back. "Honey, your father and I were talking and we think it's best for you to move down with him, I went to the doctor and they found cancer again."

"What?! No I can't leave! You're cancer can't be back!" I said on the verge of tears. My mom has had cancer three times. It comes and goes, she's very strong but I'm scared she won't make it this time. My father and mother split up when I was seven. It really hurt because I thought they were in love, I would look at them and i would always say I was going to love someone the way they loved each other. It is what it is I guess.

"Honey I'm sorry, I wish you could stay but I'm moving in with my friend, Tiffany. She'll take care of me, just like your father will take care of you." She said with a sad face. "I love you mommy." I said while hugging her and crying. "I love you too honey." She said while getting up and leaving my room.

I never thought I would end up living with my dad. He's a good father, but I've always lived with my mom. This is going to be weird.
