students of Hogwarts were now relieved. The 7th year graduated and went towards what they wanted to be. some even got married and found girlfriends and boyfriends but there was this one girl whose blond hair lengthened to her waist her eyebrows always raced and she spoke weirdly which made others feel she is a creepy person, Luna the girl who always secretly looked at her classmate Neville who was a bit younger than her but of the same grade. She always wanted to head to him and speak in his eyes and tell him how much she had an attraction to him but she couldn't. Neville the boy whose grandmother had a lot of expectations on him but disappointed with the fact that he couldn't reach his parent's level of braveness. In his 1st year at Hogwarts, he was awarded 10 points but he still had the feeling that he didn't deserve it. both the adults were working at the same place, Hogwarts.Luna followed her dream of traveling and discovering animals which are not introduced to the magical world, side by side she did take classes of care of magical creatures at Hogwarts after Hagrid resigned from his job. Neville on the other hand been teaching herbology to students. though they were in the same school doing similar jobs Luna barley had long conversations with Neville, the longest they had ever been talking was about a 3rd year student who was soo much into portions that he stool ingredients from the room of requirement to go ahead in portions That kid needed venomous tentacula roots to use in his portions, he had robbed it from Neville 's office but Neville saw him and tried to run after him but couldn't match the speed of the little boy. Neville asked Luna if she had seen the boy roaming.
July was nearing it meant only one thing! It was Neville's birthday. it was sure Neville was going to throw a birthday party as the other Hogwarts staff members insisted him to. some even wanted to join the party cuz the Longbottoms were pretty wealthy hence the party would be grand and they could have high class fun in a cheap way. as expected Neville invited the Hogwarts staff, his relatives, and also some of his students who he are very close to.
Luna shared everything with her father but left some things behind like Neville's matter but her father just could say it was obvious that she liked Neville, as the bond luna had with her father, was unbreakable. Luna knew she would also be invited and prepared her reply about a month before his birthday. she also planned a really good gift for him. it was home-made cookies. She spent about many hours in the kitchen making them perfect and beautiful, and obviously she tried about 20 different gift wrappers and tried the package the gift as perfect as she probably could.
The day came when Neville had gone to invite her. The boy started," mm- Luna as you know- " Luna being a nervous girl delivered the dialog she started practicing 1 month ago a bit to early.
"Ohh yes sure I -um- will – come sure daybrith-I mean – I WILL SURELY COME TO YOUR BIRTHDAY!!" she ended. There was an awkward silence between them the 3rd year boy who stole venomus tatacula from Neville went,"ohh-ohh I can smell love". Luna 's cheeks were red. Neville replied to the boy by saying," mm- the house elves actually overcooked the soup making it go black and Brun". Neville went by saying to Luna" ok then, you got what I wanted to say ".
as the boy left Luna fell to her knee and hit her head on the wall because of the embarrassing incident. The girl wasn't a scared cat but she was awkward at that time. the 3rd-year boy Danelian left giggling.
Neville was turning 24 that year and his parents were giving the best recommendation for marriage, so was the case with Luna. Luna's father advised her to find a boyfriend soon so that they could roam the world together.
It was 30th July, and Neville's house was decorated with yellow as it was his favourite color. the party was at 7 pm but Luna started getting ready at 7 am. she made the gift get ready more than she did decorate herself. After long hours of thinking about what note she can write on top of the gift, writing the message on a sticky note, and then wasting almost 50 of them because she couldn't get it done neatly .finally she was done with her note. she read the note one last time in her mind thinking of Neville's perspective when he reads the note

she turned her head towards the clock which was hung about 5 meters away from her and high up on the wall
"oops! It's already 6. I must get myself ready." She pulled out a big yellow dress and got ready for the event. it didn't take much time for her to get ready. soon after she was completely finished with her look she turned a quarter of a full degree right where the mirror was located. The small gemstones on her dress reflected, the yellow strips of her dress touched the ground, and as she moved the dress represented glory. she looked so stunning
Her father agreed her to drop off near Neville's house. When she got her gift in her hand and walked downstairs where her father waited. her father was stunned to see her put on the dress. It was the dress that his wife who was Luna's mother ,who passed away wore. Luna once wore it when she was in 6th-year at Hogwarts but it didn't fit her but now she looked just like her mother. Her father pulled up a smile on his face and replied " ok dear, let's go".
