Chapter 16

Arthur's POV

He dragged me out of the room and took my hand while doing so. I tried to snag it away but he started squeezing to the point where it hurt.
"Im not going to run away " I said. He ignored me but loosened his grip.
As we passed through the dark halls I noticed there were barely any guards,servants or maids.
You'd think with how rich he is he'd have a lot more. In my old castle we had someone around every corner, there was no privacy whatsoever, not even in your own room.
It was a nice change.

"Where are we going?" I asked.
"To my office" he said and turned another corner. We arrived at a large set of two doors, Agrona put his hand on a seal that was placed at the front, it flowed red at his touch and the doors slowly opened.

"Fancy" I said under my breath. He led me inside to his office which had a large desk at the end in front of a window that looked over the city. There was a couple chairs lined up against the wall for when there is company.
Decorative wise the room was pretty boring
The only color was a dying plant and the stacks of papers on his desk.

"Let me show you my home." He walked up and sat on his office chair and motions for me to come over. I grabbed the closest chair I could find but I guess he had other ideas.
"Not there," he said impatiently. "So you want me to sit on the ground like an animal?" I scowled. I was honestly about to do so but before I could he swooped me up in his arms and sat me on his lap. "What the hell! I'd rather sit on the ground,"

"I've been told I have a very comfortable lap," Agrona said. "Oh yeah? And who exactly did you let sit on your lap."
"Why are you jealous?~" he grinned.
"No! I'm just-curious" i said without thinking, even I didn't believe myself. "I was joking, I've never had anyone this close to me before, will you forgive me my love" he made those big puppy dog eyes which is hard to ignore since he has such a nice face.

"I didn't say I was mad." He smiled and moved us so we could look out the window. He started pointing out various building fields and battle grounds.
It was fascinating learning about all of them and the history they held. it was honestly way more interesting then what dicathen had to offer.......
"I miss my family" I started to play with my hands avoiding his gaze. ".....Your family's right here, with me,"
"I mean my other family, the one back hom- in dicathen." 
He grabbed my chin and forced me to look into his deep red eyes,  "They don't love you the way I do, I accepted you for the real you, they could never do that."
Deep down I knew he was right. They could never love the monster I once was, no one could. heck, even I hate myself most of the time.
I felt a saddened by these thoughts, they never loved Me they loved Arthur.

"It's alright now, you have me and maybe a little someone else was who we'll see soon."
Agrona said pulling me into a tight hug.

After I pulled myself together as best I could I had him continue with his history lesson.

I hadn't realized I fell asleep until I was gently placed onto I soft mattress.
"It's ok you can go back to sleep." He said.
I took him up on the offer and slowly shut my eyes. Before I fully drifted off I felt strong arms wrap around me which I didn't bother arguing with.
"Goodnight"

They both deserve better in my opinion

Also sorry for another late update. One of my readers found my address and bombed my house.
