Chapter 5

Agrona POV:

"Are you stupid or just dumb!?" Arthur practically screamed.
I put my finger to my head as in deep thought.
"Maybe a mixture of both." He looked at me obviously not amused, I've never had anybody talk to me like this before, or rather, I've never LET anybody talk to me like that.

My stomach started to grumble in hunger and I felt a blush come to my cheeks in embarrassment. I heard Arthur chuckle in amusement which made me blush even more. Not of embarrassment though.

"I'm hungry" I point out. "Really Captain obvious?" He pushes me unto the bed and peeked out the bedroom door and turned back to me. "Your lucky I'm in a good mood today."
"I'll be right back, AND DONT THINK ABOUT MOVING!" He then stomped out of the room slamming the door behind him.

I looked around and started to dig through drawers out of boredom. I found that he had a roommate that looked a little familiar but I brushed it off and decided to just hop into the large twin sized bed.

I snuggled into the sheets and slowly drifted into a sleep i desperately needed.

I was barely awake when I felt a pillow smack me on the head. I look up to find Arthur with a furious look on his face which only made me laugh.
"I brought food." He said with clear annoyance. "Actually, I'm not really hungry anymore." I said. I saw red fume in his eyes with thirst for blood.

I decided to provoke the lion even more and yanked Arthur into the sheets with me.
"Let me go asshole!" He started to flail around like a fussy toddler almost knocking over the lamp and most of the pillow in the process.

I restrained his arms over his head and held him in place. He started to emit mana but I quickly put a stop to it.
After all... I'm the one with the power.

"If you don't let me go this instant I'll scream bloody murder!!" He glared.

l released his arms from my grasp and turned us both over in an spoon position.
I could hear him growl at my actions but didn't try to struggle any longer.

Which made me smile. I pulled his hair behind his ear and lightly stroked his cheek.
I saw him turn red and smother his face with a pillow. "No smartass response this time?" I questioned.

Only for it to be answered with another glare.
I simply wrapped my arms around his waist and pulled him in close.
"I've been waiting to do this a long time."
Arthur turned his body towards me with a puzzled expression.

"I've just met you though? Your not making any sense." He states.
"I'll tell you later" I said. And pulled him into my chest.
I felt him flinch which made me come to a realization.

I knew what his childhood was like, and how he never had anyone to care for him.
I felt sadness....... an unfamiliar feeling for me.

I wanted nothing but to tell him it was all right and I'll take care of him forever.
But I don't want to scare him off so I guess this is ok for now.

Not long after I could feel soft snores against the fabrics of my clothes.

I pulled the sheets closer to us and drifted into a peaceful sleep.
Something I hadn't had in a long time.
