Liliana Wilkinson, called Lily by people close to her. She is a young adult who has learned from an early age what it is like to live a difficult life. The girl had to grow up far too fast, she couldn't enjoy her childhood or have the support of her parents. The truth was painful but real.
When she was still a teenager, her parents kicked her out of the house, leaving her to her fate. Broken Liliana couldn't count on anyone, except for one person, who at the present time is her beloved husband. Park Ji-Kyo.
A black-haired man with beautiful gray eyes. He's two years older than her and he was always there for the lonely teenager. And then, and now.
Jikyo grew up in an orphanage, his parents were killed by a drunk driver. The boy was of Korean-American descent. His mother was from Boston and his father was from South Korea. The boy's parents died when he was only ten years old. Since then, the young man has been in an orphanage, in Boston. It was where his mother was from, and also where Jikyo lived with his family until the accident.
The young couple met a few years after the boy first went to a foster family. It didn't end well, the teenager didn't stay there long. He returned to the orphanage where, later, Liliana would sneak in to visit him. The young fell in love with each other, and this fact did not please Wilkinson's parents. Her kins was very strict, gloomy and had a really bad relationship with their daughter. Because of an incident that wasn't her fault at all, her parents kicked her out of the house. Then Jikyo took care of her, he left the orphanage when he reached the age of majority. The young man stayed with his beloved in the country. He was proud of his origin, and he also didn't mind people around him calling him by his first name. He knew that things were different in Korea, but he grew up outside of it himself, and he also knew that country only from his father's stories. It is thanks to him that Jikyo also knows a bit of Korean.
It was hard for the young people at first, they had little money, sometimes they were even without a roof over their heads, but they survived it all and now live in Crested Butte, in a small but very cozy house. Thanks to the help of people who extended a helping hand to them, the couple was finally able to start a normal, peaceful life.
But all this did not last long, and far too short. Because good times always end the fastest...
This is Liliana Wilkinson's story. She survived all storms and darkness, and her light in the dark turned out to be Park Jikyo, who was always by her side.
But darkness likes to come back when you least expect it, and every light goes out with time...
