the plane slowed down and descended onto the runway. i took my headphones off and grabbed my bag.
"let's gooooo," cameron chanted, "we're finally here." he ran a hand through his hair and started walking towards the exit.
my family and i walked off the plane. my parents booked a hotel room for us to stay at, not far from which cameron's practices were held.

i couldn't stop thinking about joão and the message he sent me. he seemed like an awesome person from what i could see, but i wanted to get to know him more. i mean, he was DEFINITELY attractive. but at the same time, i don't want to upset my brother by dating one of his teammates.
just as i got a little too deep into my thoughts, my phone chimed. i found myself dearly hoping it would be from joão for some reason. and i'm not completely sure why.
however, it wasn't from joão.
it was from abby, my best friend.
