Chapter 12

Y/n's POV

I've been getting better and better each day after my resolve for becoming stronger,but it was still hard,everything reminded me of him,everywhere,every music

I decided to visit Cora-san to see if there's any news on Law,I could walk properly now after practicing hard with Ace but still it wasn't that easy like before,I had to use an anchor to keep myself standing

anyways I got out of my house and walked slowly towards Cora-san's house which was three or four houses away from us

after some painful walking,I finally reached his house and rang its bell

I could hear some stuff breaking the moment I rang the bell,not long after he opened the door and greeted me

"oh my oh my Y/n-chan,come in" he said with a big smile

"hey Cora-san" I said as I entered the house,which was a big mess

"sorry I'm a little clumsy haha" he gave out a small laugh

"I-- you know what,it's fine to be clumsy Cora-san,atleast you're kind and you have a good personality!" I tried to cheer him up but it had the reverse effect as he gave out a nervous laugh and looked at me

"come sit please,it must've been hard to walk here in that condition" he said

I took a sit and he sat in front of me "so what brings you here my dear?"

"i-is there any news on Law...?"

his eyes widened as I asked that question "that stupid boy completely vanished...he's not even contacting me,I'm not sure if he's okay or he just wanted to be alone"

I sighed "Why would he even do that...?"

"I don't know,but probably has something to do with your father"

"you know the situation right?" I asked

"I pretty much know what happened to him but I'm not sure what is he going through right now"

"I don't know if I can tell you...but ugh..."

"what is it my dear?" Cora replied as he put a hand on my shoulder

"I'm so sorry...my dad threatened him that he will kill you if he doesn't do as he says"

"oh that,yeah I'm not really in good terms with your father so it's easy for him to kill me,don't worry about it tho,but the thing I'm really worried about is Law,God knows what is he going through now"he replied

I couldn't help but to tear up,I tried to hold them back but it was pointless,I hated being a crybaby but sometimes you just have to let it out,and the person who could relate to my shit right now was only Cora-san

I sobbed without realizing as he pulled me in for a hug "it's fine dear,he's a strong boy,he'll surely come back" he reassured me

"I really miss him Cora-san,I really do" I cried as I was sniffling 

"I know,I do too" he patted my head

after some moment,I pulled back from the hug and looked at the man in front of me "You and Oyaji are like the father I've never had,thank you so much Cora-san" I said while wiping my tears

"No worries dear,I'm always here if you need to talk" he smiled

I smiled back
