JOHN MCHALE. Once everybody had woken up, we decided to organize the mess that was the living room out of respect to the house owner. As I folded some pillowcases, I would notice the silent laughter between Mike and Yujun, they seemed perfect for each other, they would look at each other in a way that was so sweet, or bittersweet to be honest. After the talk I had with Mike the night prior, I put myself on the position to ask myself what I wanted; I could simply open the door and leave all of them and don't look back, or I could stay and not feel guilty of leaving Mike to deal with something he even didn't know what it was. It seemed like my relationship with Mike was the guilt we felt over each other, and I wondered if that would change anytime.
We all sat on the sofa while we ate our breakfast, we were silent throughout the most part, it was clear that the awkwardness would be hard to leave our presence.
"I called our job" Jennifer said to Mike "We quit by the way!"
Mike seemed so out of place he barely reacted to what the woman said, he nodded and kept on eating his eggs.
"So..." Yujun took the liberty to say "How are we going to deal with the stalker?"
"We won't deal with anything!" Jennifer said while putting her plate down "Let's just go to the police and say there's a guy following us!"
"There's a risk with that and you know it!" Yujun debated.
"What makes you think there won't be others following us?" Mike got into the circle of questions being unanswered.
"Look-" She hesitated for a bit "-We ain't the Power Rangers, we can't just go and just beat them up!"
"You just quit your job because of a stalker!" Yujun intensified his tone "What are you going to do now?"
"I might be able to talk with the guy, see what he wants..." Mike tried calming Yujun down.
"And risking getting killed in the process? That seems smart to you?"
Yujun had realized how he sounded throughout the entire conversation, he sighed and put his hands on his forehead as a sign of stress, it was obvious he was not fit to deal with things like that, he wouldn't last day during the Elpida time with me and Mike.
"I just don't want anyone getting hurt!" He apologetically explained while holding Mike's hand.
"We're not the Power Rangers..." Jennifer said to herself.
"Yeah you said that before-I think we got the memo" Mike then rebated.
"But I might know one!" She shouted.
"You know the Power Rangers?" Yujun questioned Jennifer.
"No. I know someone powerful just like them!" She ran to her bedroom and locked the door.
We all stood up and went to the direction of Jennifer's bedroom. Yujun was a bit worried so he started knocking on the door as hard as he could, it seemed that Jennifer was calling somebody and she didn't want anyone to hear. I was as lost as someone in the middle of the Amazon Forest, so I had no idea what was happening, all I knew was that things were starting to move too fast for someone that got into town just a week ago.
Jennifer opened the door after a minute or so, all calm and with her head up, she walked to the living room while Mike tried asking her what was the call for, and most importantly, who was on the other end of the line.
"I know someone who might know who the guy is!" She answered.
"Who?" I took the liberty of getting on with the conversation.
