Saved. But not by an angel

I stared at the display in front of me. A demonic looking creature was attacking the other thing. I wouldn't call it much of a fight, considering the bigger creature won almost immediately. Once the fight was done, it stood up straight and looked dead at me. Whatever it was was extremely tall. I backed up a bit. It just stared at me. I then realized what it was, something demonic looking? Made of ink? Oh, god..

"Y-You're.. You're the Ink Demon?.."

he tilted his head a bit, still staring at me. He then looked over to where my ax was thrown before. I looked as well. Then back at each other. I heard running footsteps approaching and Allison yelling for me. He growled a bit, then ran off into a portal of some sort. I was still shocked at the events when Allison found me.

"Y/n! Are you okay? Why didn't you respond?!"

She seemed genuinely worried.

"I.. uh.."

I tried thinking of an excuse.

"Never mind, what matters is that you're okay, kid."

She helped me up, and I went to grab my ax. We started walking away. I looked back at where the Ink Demon had disappeared. Allison said he was dangerous. So why didn't he kill me? I'm not saying I wanted to die, but it was weird..

I kept looking at my hands as we were walking. They hurt quite a bit. I don't know how to fix it.

"Hey, kid. I have an idea that might help it hurt less."

I looked up at Allison and nodded. She looked around for a second until we came across a searcher.

"Go up to it, and let it grab your arm."

I gave her a confused look.

"Trust me. If this doesn't work, we've got your back."

I nodded and went up to the creature. I held out my arm, and it grabbed it. It then started shaking, and I started to see the ink from my arm slowly go back towards my hand. I then watched the thing shrivel up and die. Literally. I felt bad. It helped me, but it had to die because of it. I sighed as we continued our journey.
