After everyone ate and chatted, and we even had a few non official dances, it was all over. I said goodbye to everyone walking out and wished them a merry Christmas.

As Cratchit's family left he turned to me and Scrooge. "Merry Christmas Mr. Scrooge." He smiled and looked to me. "Thank you again, y/n. You really are a blessing to our family, you know." He said while pulling me into a hug.

I laughed and hugged him back. "I'm so happy that we could help."

Scrooge pulled me away from him after a sec and shooed him off. "Alright, move along. Night is falling fast." He waved.

Bob put his hands up and laughed. "Alright, I'm leaving. See you soon." He smiled and walked out the door all peppy like.

Last ones to leave were Harry and his wife. We greeted them as they walked out the door. Harry, being the kind soul he is didn't let us part without complementing my new look tonight.

"Goodbye, dear uncle." He said. "And goodbye y/n, may I say you looked as pretty as a penny this evening." He smiled down to me.

"Awe, thank you very much. You have your uncle Scrooge to thank for that one." I laughed.

"Well, I always knew he wasn't all bad." He winked to me. "Well, toodaloo." He waved my wiggling his fingers.

As soon as they were out he shut the door and sighed.

"Tired?" I asked.

"Very." He stood up straight and adjusted his coat. "I'm ready to lay down. I might be sleeping till the new year." He laughed breathy.

"Ha, me too." I agreed and turned. "Well I'll just change back into my normal attire and get out of your hair." I told him and started to walk off.

"Huh?" He asked and grabbed my arm to stop me from walking. "Have you gone mad? You haven't a place to stay. I won't let you subject yourself to living in the snow." He scolded me.

"What?" I asked. "But I have nowhere else to go but the streets."

"Oh poor dear." He walked in front of me. "You do now. You'll stay here for as long as you need. I forbid you from living such a life as you did before." He polity demanded.

"Well.." I rubbed my arm. "Alright. As long as you're ok with it then sure." I nodded.

"Magnificent." He let his serious expression drop. "You may have the room you changed in previously."

I nodded and we walked to the room together. He took a match out of his pocket when we got there. Since the sun was setting, he lit the candle on the vanity and took his leave.
