"I still can't believe we made it out alive." I pant leaning against a nearby house
"You're telling me! That Miranda person really wants me dead." Ethan sighs, "But I'm not leaving here until we find Rose."
I nod standing beside him as he looks up the path. I follow his gaze immediately spotting the large castle in the distance. For some reason it felt familiar to me, despite having never set foot in Romania in my life. I push the feeling aside and follow Ethan up the trail. Although as we begin to get closer I kept hearing things. It sounded like metal clashing, screams, yelling, and fighting.
"Do you not hear that?" I ask Ethan as we stop at the gate
"Hear what?"
"The screams? The fighting?"
My friend only looked at me as if I had grown two heads, "No I don't hear any of it. You sure you didn't hit your head too hard in the fall?"
I shake my head, turning my gaze to the area around us. The sounds were gone and it was once again replaced by the freezing wind and snarling of lycans.
"Come on, let's forget about it, yeah? Let's hurry up and try to find Rose."
We carefully sneak into the castle trying to be as quiet as possible. However while we moved further down the halls I swore I heard someone calling to me.
"Y/N! Where are you?~" A female giggles
I furrow my brows following the noise. I hear Ethan whisper shout to me as I move away from him but I ignore his calls. The voice gets louder until I cross over into an older section of the castle.
"There you are!" I hear the voice call out causing me to turn towards it
My eyes land on the most stunning woman I've ever seen. She had beautiful blonde hair and enchanting yellow eyes. She was in some kind of armor and upon looking down I realized I was too.

"I would've been here sooner but you know how mother is about my training." She smiles
"You know she only pesters you because she cares." I heard myself speak but I never opened my mouth, "Your family name is enough to send trouble your way. Besides you have two younger sisters you need to look after."
"They can handle themselves, besides you and the others are our extra protection. Nothing gets past you."
Just as she cups my cheek I'm forced back to the present where I'm met with a concerned Ethan.
