Scenario 1

When you signed on to the galleon, you expected manual labour and bad food. An attack by pirates was not part of the plan. One pirate drops from the rigging and presses a blade to your throat. You realize with some shock that the pirate is female. "Come on, prisoner," she says with a wicked grin. "You belong to us now."

Scenario 2

At a rowdy bar in a town known for its pirates, the last person you'd expect to see is a young woman in a ballgown, but that's who approaches you to beg for a place on your ship. You wouldn't normally accept such a request, but something about her is compelling, and you did just lose your cabinboy to marriage. You tell her yes.
