〖 Welcome! First player batch of the Starlink dome! 〗

All heads turn to the voice, a creature, fluffy black hair, red eyes, and a tiny figure, they didn't know if he was a fairy, an elf or the devil itself, but it was tiny and hot, or so Allyn had thought. The creature spoke again, smirking as though to boast about his glory.

〖 This one's name is,「 Kairon 」, I am an honored, servant of the gods of Olympus. I along with other 『 Spectres 』have descended here to give you instructions on the predicament your world is currently facing, of course due to the wonderful mercy of the gods. 〗

The creature, well spectre, introduced. Boasting about the greatness of the gods he served.

[ If Clay heard this, she'd laugh right at his face, taunting about how she's an Atheist.]

Varielle thought, observing the spectre.

“If so, then you can help us get rid of the goblins?”

Lovelyn asked. Varielle stepped into in front of everyone, putting an arm up, blocking her friends from the spectre's view.

“If you truly are here to help us, at what cost? Gods, especially from Olympus, are notorious for the saying, 「 For a gift, a price 」.

Kairon scowled gritting his teeth at Varielle's words.

〖 How dare a human sully the name of Olympus..?! 〗

Thunder crashed behind him as Varielle stood her ground, glaring at the spectre. And soon, looking up to the broken sky.

“If you're truly here to help us, this situation wouldn't have happen in the first place!”

Varielle yelled out, angering the spectre even more, raging flames sprouting from behind him. And screens appeared in front of her face, messages among messages swarmed her vision as the gods promised her they had not meant harm and all they intended was to help them. A hand was placed on her shoulder and she looked to see her friends, a silent request to just trust them.

The purple head heaved out a sigh as she shut her mouth, crossing her arms. After the whole commotion, Marelenn had stepped up, taking over because Ninth was fuming.

“So, how are you meant to help us?”

She asked the tiny creature that turned red from anger. Kairon sighed, snapping his fingers as he also crossed his arms. And holographic screens appeared in front of each person's eyes. Cards seeming like tarot cards displayed on the screen.

〖 Choose your desired job, you have all the time you need as per the Gods' mercy. You will get a brief description of the job you've picked, you get two more job slots, choose wisely. 〗

Varielle silently scrolled through the options, [ Luckily we don't have to draw.... If that's the case, I just need to look for them. ] Varielle thought, scrolling through the screen selecting her desired cards and the screen disappeared, it seemed she was the first to finish.

〖 It's quite surprising how quick you were in choosing. And that calm precision too, do you have psychic abilities human? 〗

Varielle simply shrugged, “I just read too much, it's nothing special.”
The spectre raised a brow but didn't question her.

Sooner or later, everyone picked their jobs and had their equipment ready for them. Breathing in a nervous breath, everyone prepared for the time to restart. Kairon snapped his fingers, time started to slowly come back, and he disappeared into the air, assumingly going back to the place the gods were.

Waiting in bated breath as the environment's color returned to the horrifying red that it was. Gleon took his stance, raising his shield, Daphne and Allyn by his side, spear and lance raised, Varielle and Raleanne behind Gleon. Glenn, Merelyn, Lovelyn, and Akira staying behind for support. They were all briefed on their skills and knew how to use them.

Then, time resumed, the goblin frozen in the air, barreling to the ground confused on how it happened, looking up to see them right in front. In a sudden rush of seeing new prey, the goblins came flocking over to attack, Gleon blocked them with his shield as Allyn and Daphne started piercing them, following the strategy Varielle told them before time started. And then slowly, everyone started getting in sync as they cleared out, goblin after goblin, until they reached the rift.

“Okay, so remember what I told you? In dungeons like these, there are two possible bosses. A hobgoblin or a goblin chief, both equally dangerous for amateurs like us. You need to listen to my every instruction unless you don't wanna get out alive, you hear?”

Everyone nodded as Varielle turned to the rift, heaving out a breath before beginning to walk inside. And they were greeted with a clear blue sky and a vast forest, they could hear the chattering of the remaining goblins inside, Varielle signaled for them to stay quiet and for Akira to follow them by tree or the foot work skill she was given. She nodded, climbing up the tree, scoping their surroundings and giving Varielle a report via the telekinesis skill she shared when they made their party. The dark-purplette nodded to the party, signaling to get into position as they began the raid.

Could encountering the boss, thirty minutes into the raid be counted as goodluck or bad luck? The honors didn't know but what the members did know is that the ninth is great at leading especially when it comes to commands regarding attacks. Now where was the ninth you ask? She is currently going toe to toe with the hobgoblin - aka the boss of the dungeon -, grinning like a maniac with Akira covering her back, the rest hardly had any contact with the  boss, they were busy fending off the goblins per the ninth orders because and I quote 'You guys have no idea how to fight that guy, and having too many members would slow down the process of it's elimination so fend off the goblins that try to get close m'kay?'.

After a good twenty minutes the others could practically taste the ninth's boredom from a mile, the hobgoblin had repeated attack patterns so it was getting boring for Varielle so she just took a hit from it's club, blocking it swiftly with her sword before lightning struck the hobgoblin and it was fried to crisps and was made into Status Points for the party. As they were given their rewards, the dungeon started shaking, everyone closed their eyes for a good minute before they heard the voice of their principal, ending her speech.

“What the fuck..?”

Gleon muttered, as he looked around, weren't they just in the dungeon??? Varielle told them to calm down as they were finally called to receive their awards.

“What happened? Weren't we just in the dungeon Val? Was it all just a hallucination?”

Allyn asked, sipping on the juice Varielle had the decency to buy them. In turn the dark-purplette opened her status window, looking at her party members.

“It wasn't a hallucination, it wasn't a dream and it most definitely was real. I think it's just the prelude to a disaster.”

Varielle shrugged, watching how her vision was filled with with windows saying how it wasn't like that, smiling at the sky, the windows closed.

“So yeah, let's just be patient no?”

The now dubbed captain of the party concluded as they headed back inside for the long awaited meeting their parents were attending.
