“You've never treated me like your Fiancé, Your Majesty. Friend? Perhaps, once upon a time. But, I can't feel the presence of what you profess to be your love.”
“Varielle!”

Heels clicking on the tiled floors resounded the empty halls of the brightly lit palace. A dark-purplette, stone faced as she walked to the drawing room of the Crown Prince's Palace. She knocked on the door, announcing her presence.
“Come in.”
She opened the door, closing it behind her before curtseying.
“Blessings and Glory upon the Starlink Empire, Varielle von Equinox, greets Your Highness The Crown Prince.”
Hazel-green met honey-golden eyes, as she glanced at the male in front of her. Her Fiancé, the Crown Prince of the Starlink Empire, Jerion del Pyknos.
“How many times must I tell you not to greet me like that Varielle? You're my Fiancé, the formalities are needless. Address me casually.”
The raven haired male said, as he beckoned Varielle to sit on the sofa in front of him. The dark-purplette obediently sat on her sofa.
“For what have you summoned me... Jerion?”
The hesitation in her voice took the prince aback. Jerion rang a little bell, calling in a maid, and commanded her to bring them tea and some pastries.
“I can't summon my Fiancé for no reason?”
He playfully asked, the female raised an eyebrow at him, letting out a sigh.
“Jerion, I have work to do, won't you kindly stop the charades? Please tell me why you've summoned me.”
“I wanted your opinion on some projects. As well as some advice on how to handle the situation at the borders.”
The prince relented after a sigh.
“But before that, would you mind telling me what your stiff attitude brings? Why are you being so formal to me Var? You usually call me Ion or Jer..”
“It's no reason.. I've just returned from a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Apologies.”
Jerion nodded before handing her a few documents. Varielle took the papers, scanning through them for a few minutes, Jerion sat there patiently as the maid delivered their tea and pastries, pouring a right amount on the two cups. Jerion placed two cubes of sugar in his tea. Varielle placed the documents down to pour milk in her tea and a cube of sugar, before picking the papers back up.
“Which projects were you referring to—.. Jerion?”
Varielle stuttered, the accustomed 'Your Highness' almost slipping off her tongue. Jerion glanced at her as he sipped on his tea, taking his time on answering her question.
