Camilla's POV
Juliana: I don't know what happened to you but you've changed.
I go through some dresses in the store not paying much attention at Juliana. It's been five days. Five tortures days since I last saw, spoke or touched Matteo. Since he told me I am his to do whatever he pleases and since I realised I wanted him to. I wanted to surrender my body to him and let him fúck me any way he saw fit. But I didn't. With any dignity I had left I stood up that morning and locked myself in the bathroom.
I took the longest shower ever taken, my legs shaky and my body still burning from the pleasure he so rudely gave me. When I walked out he was no longer in the room and my first move was to go down the pharmacy and take the next day's pill. I had no intention of having Matteo's child and since he wanted me to so badly I knew I'd have to take protection myself.
Thankfully when I found Antonio he instructed me about what to say when Vitto's body was to come in the surface and also told me that Matteo would be away for some days. The had at the meeting in Sicily that he didn't know how long it'd last.
Antonio: He said you should start getting ready for the wedding.
Antonio's words repeated themselves in my head as my fingers run through the silky dresses.
Juliana: Camilla.
I look to Juliana and for the first time since hours I actually see her.
Camilla: I didn't change. I just adapted.
People adapt. They have to in order to survive. And I decided to adapt in order to have fun. I always believed séx was just an overrated animalistic action that we as humans gave more attention than it deserved to be given. That was until I felt him inside me. That was until I would recall our kisses and how desperately we needed each other. Maybe it was our daylight hate that lead to such nighttime pleasure. Either way I no more thought of it as overrated. Not with Matteo.
Camilla: What about you?
I turn to her and a small blush appear on her cheeks.
Juliana: I'm fine. Christian treats me well so far. We have chemistry, it's better than I thought it would be at least.
I smile seeing that she has a positive outlook on her wedding.
Antonio: The fact that doesn't beat you doesn't mean he treats you right.
Antonio appears out of nowhere handing me a veil I asked him to bring. Juliana glares at him as if he just ruined her view in life and he smirks satisfied with her reaction.
Juliana: Oh he does beat me. In bed. And I FÚCKING like it!
The poor guy's eyes pop out his head and he cusses before returning to the entrance of the shop.
Camilla: Can I ask you a question?
Juliana: God I hate him!
Camilla: No you don't.
She wasn't even in a position to hear me and I was now sure there was a past between the two.
