As the wind blows, the leaves from an old tree lingers on Kate’s feet. She feels the soft breeze plays with her long brown hair. Shivers and cold seem to be her partner in loneliness. As she looks up, the moon and stars are staring at her. These are the only things that gave her lighting at that time. It is hard for her to reach this place, yet she still proceeded. She maybe weak but not for her love one.
She sits beside the bench near the old tree. Her pale shaky hands grab its handle. As the stars play with the round bright moon, her heart longs for Alex—her other half. Her soul yearns for him as she recall all of his reminders. Everything is blurred to her sight but still she persisted meeting him. If she could just devote her entire life for him, she would. But then, this seems to be impossible.
Kate reminisced the day she met Alex in the hospital. That day was the day she’ll cherish forever. Alex’ tantalizing eyes, perfect lips, and his soft hands reminded her how adorable he is. His never-ending caress had completed every single day of her life. The way Alex held her hand never fail to give her sweet memories.
No matter how their parents opposed to their relationship, they still found time to be with each other’s arms. It was really hard for them to meet because eyes were always on them. Thus, they had decided to escape from the reality which life had unfairly given them. They’d decided to meet on the 18th of December. They marked that date to be the start of their new beginning.
Today is the day that the lovers have been waiting for. Kate’s heart skips a beat as she saw a man standing in front of her. “Alex,” she says. Alex stands six feet tall. His muscular arms wrap Kate with love. The wind and leaves play with the two as they embrace each other with sweetness. It is cold, but the blazing love of the two seize it.
“I love you,” Alex said.
Tears have started to fall from Kate’s eyes. Like any other girls hearing their beloved confessing their love, she is really overwhelmed and happy. Those three words complete her life. Saying the same words is really what her heart desires. Her story is about to end with “and they live happily ever after” if she would answer back. However, no words come out from her lips except:
“My sickness stops me to say I love you too.”
