"So why was there yelling?" Midoriya asked as Shinso sat on a swing. The purple-haired boy swung his legs back and forth considering whether or not to tell Midoriya the truth.

"Just y'know, family fights. They happen every once in a while. Everything is ok." He half told the truth. Midoriya nodded in false understanding, he didn't know. He didn't have a whole family.

"Why are you out here?" Shinso asked Midoriya sucked in a deep breath "Uhm well Kacchan got mad at me so I needed to leave his house." Shinso shook his head in disgust "I don't know how you can stay around that guy, he's such an asshole to everyone including you too apparently." He huffed. Midoriya sat on the swing next to Shinso and side-eyed him.

"He's not that bad when you get to know him, or if he doesn't hate you." Shinso sighed "Why do you always defend him? He's such an ass to you."
Midoriya looked ahead of him thinking about why does he defend him?

Was it because he was his first friend? The first person he trusted? The first person he liked?
The first person who bullied him for being quirkless? The first person to tell him to kill himself? To physically abuse him? The person that made him stand at the edge of the roof? The one that had no regard for how he felt?

Midoriya looked back to Shinso who was already looking at him "I'm not sure." He whispered, "Kacchan was my only friend for a long time..."

"Friends don't treat each other like he treats you Midoriya. He's controlling and has anger issues that make him a liability." Midoriya raised a confused brow.

"A liability?" Shinso nodded "Bakugo cannot control his emotions and acts on what he's feeling without a second thought. He can seriously hurt someone in the hero field if he acts out on his anger." The taller boy explained as best as he could.

Midoriya nodded slowly 'he's not wrong' the green-haired boy began swinging himself slowly on the swing, carefully thinking over Shinso's words.

He heard a sigh from beside him "Do you want me to walk you home? It's getting late." Midoriya didn't want to be more of a burden than he already thought he was, he shook his head "I'll be okay on m-my own."

"Alright then... goodnight Midoriya."

"Goodnight Lavender."

When Midoriya safely made it back to his mother's apartment he walked past the leftovers she left him and didn't bother reading the note which said she'd be home later than usual.

He wasn't hungry. He never was, that's how his body became since he began being bullied in middle school. He was called fat by his pe teachers and students who had picked up on the teacher's verbal abuse towards the small boy. He began to starve himself in hopes of being good enough for them.

Midoriya sat on the edge of his bed looking at his antidepressants he was getting more upset the longer he looked at them.

'I know I have to take them... so I'm not a burden on other people. I'm so pathetic. I can't even help myself, I have to rely on other people and drugs. God, why can't I be normal?'

Midoriya silently cried himself to sleep after forcing himself to take his medications for his quirk which he was still having trouble controlling.

~

His feet felt hot and he could feel the dead grass stabbing into his skin as he looked around at the burning buildings.

Fighting between the heroes and the league of villains was happening right in front of him.

The man with blue hair was going against Endeavour, the fire hero looked in bad shape as his left shoulder was disintegrated to the bone rendering his arm useless.

He could see a man with black hair, covered in scars and radiating blue fire from his body attacking a hero who was made of wood. There was a character in a grey suit who had doubled into at least a hundred clones of himself. He seemed to be fighting off multiple heroes.

All the noise and motion were too much for the boy. His brain was overwhelmed by the amount of fighting commencing around him. He slowly backed into the hospital-looking room with the strange creatures watching him in each corner.

"H-hello?" He was met with silence from all of him, Midoriya coughed from the smoke coming through the door so he closed it.

He sat on the bed waiting for the noise to stop, and eventually, it did. It felt like hours that he had been sitting there, waiting. Until the door slowly opened to reveal the man with black hair and scars.

"Sup kid looks like you're coming with us. Now get up and follow me." Midoriya did as he was told, he was "quirk-less" and he had no chance against this fire wielder. The man led him towards a black van with the villains he saw earlier standing by it.

"Those fucking heroes ruining our work-"

"Shigiraki, he's still alive."

"Oh? So he is...good." He grinned "Let's get going then we don't have all day, everyone get in the car."

~

Midoriya woke up in a cold sweat, panting and with blurry vision.

'What... is happening to me?'

He looked around after his eyes could focus and saw it was 7 am. He wasn't going to UA today, he didn't feel like it. The boy lay back in the damp spot from where he lay beforehand, staring at the ceiling with a blank mind.

What would he do today?

Go see Masaru and believe he was being a burden the entire time while having Bakugo on his case about randomly leaving?

Stay home and believe he's burdening his mother?

Go outside and make everyone worry for thinking he was kidnapped by the league again?

Or...

Midoriya stood and walked to the bathroom, keeping his gaze away from the mirror to only see his malnourished body, his ribs could be seen as clear as day, his hips had no fat to cover them and his skinny fingers.

Midoriya sighed as he slowly took off his gloves revealing many scars and healing self-inflicted wounds on his forearms.

The green-haired teen sighed as he examined all the random scars he had on his body, he didn't even want to imagine what his back looked like.
He frowned as he glared at the small circled scars and claw marks up higher on his forearms. He blanched as he looked at the thin white lines covering his arms and the small tattoo on the inside of his wrist.

'I'm so pathetic'

Midoriya quickly turned on the shower and stared blankly at the razor  blade hooked onto the shelf on the shower wall.

He picked it up and flipped it between his fingers wondering if he should do it or not. He took another glance at the white lines on his arms before aggressively slamming the blade back on the shelf.

'How dare I even think about doing that again.'

Midoriya had a burning hot shower which turned his skin red and sting. After showering and putting on his gloves he tore off his bedsheets and wrapped himself in his blankets before falling asleep for the rest of the day.

Hope y'all had a good Xmas 🎄
