Chapter 3

Y/n POV

It was the next day and I feel energized than I was before and I don't know why. Anyways I finished changing into some jeans and black tank top considering since I'm a wolf now, I don't feel the cold anymore but I still put on my leather jacket so know one would know that a 13 year old kid got a tattoo. I grabbed my bag and headed downstairs and ate breakfast. "You want me to drive you to school, Y/n?" Dad asked. "Actually no. Leah and Harry Clearwater is picking me up today." I said. He nodded his head. "Okay, and just you know I got a job as a nurse and I won't be back until 10:00 tonight." Dad said. "Okay." I said before I hear a honk and I got my backpack and left out the door.

I got in the back seat of the truck and said hi to Harry, I then looked at Leah and I feel my eyes glow blue. "Mate!" My wolf yelled out in my head. I looked at Leah and see her blushing at me then I looked at Harry and see him smiling at me. He knew that his daughter is my mate considering I told him, Billy and old Quil what mate's are. It was a silent drive to school but comfortable silence. We got to the school and Leah got out meanwhile Harry told me to stay for a little bit. "Leah's your mate isn't she?" Harry asked me. I turned to Leah who was waiting by the doors for and looked back at Harry. "Yeah." I said as I smiled. "I know you'll take good care of her. I want to invite you to a bonfire at Billy's, he is gonna tell us about how the tribe came to be." Harry said. "Of course I'll come. But isn't it a secret to outsiders like me?" I asked him. "Well, since you're Leah's mate that makes you a part of this tribe." Harry said as he let me go.

I got out the truck and headed in the school with Leah, I still can't believe she is my mate. "So what did my dad wanted to tell you?" Leah asked me. "He just wanted to know how I'm doing and asked me to come to a bonfire because he wants me to listen to the tribes history." I explained. She nodded her head as we head to class. I basically zoned out in all of my classes because all I could think about is Leah. After school dad came and picked me up and told him how Leah was my mate, he was happy for me and I told him I'll be at a bonfire that the elders are doing and will share the tribe's histories. When I finished my homework I went out into the woods and took off my clothes and changed into my wolf form and started to do patrol first around the reservation then I went to forks and started patrolling over there as well.

After two hours I came home and put on my clothes that consist of shorts and a tank top and my shoes and then Harry pulled up as I got out the woods. I got into his truck and drove to Billy's place. When we got there the fire is already started and I see Billy's son Jacob who is 9 years old, I babysit him sometimes when Billy needs to go somewhere. Jacob came running towards me with a smile and hugged me tightly. "Y/n! I haven't seen you around for a while." Jacob said. "Yeah, I know. I've just been busy with school and everything." I said to him. I've been very tired once I get home from patrol that I forget to call Jacob and tell him hows my day going. Jacob then jumped on my back while laughing. "Lets go, horsey! Hee-yah!" Jacob yelled out as I ran as fast as I could making Jacob scream excitedly. After our little playing around Billy whistled to us. "Dad is about to start." Jacob said as he grabbed my hand and sat down on a log next to him. Once we were all sitting down Billy started telling the story about how men urn into wolves and how they protect their tribe from the cold ones. I listen to each word Billy was saying as I looked into the fire imagining what it was like back then.

With the third wife sacrificing herself to save the tribe from the cold woman so that Taha Aki could kill her. I find these legend's fascinating because I'm being told the legends from the actual descendant's of Taha Aki. I know when Jacob is older he will have to phase and protect this land and be the rightful alpha. But I'm worried what if the Cullen's come back? Will more boys of the tribe phase? I know Sam and Jacob might phase. After Billy told the story we all just chat and laughed as we are eating food. I was getting more food when Harry came up to me and with a woman with him. "Y/n, I would like you to meet my wife, Sue." Harry introduced her. "Hello, nice to meet you." I said as I shook her hand. "So, you're the one that has my daughter all smiley." Sue said to me as she smiled at me.
