"See you tomorrow, Ven-chan!" Rye shouted as he waved goodbye.

I waved goodbye back and he ran off to join Nick and Gareki who were waiting in the front of the school.

I sighed, shouldering my bag and heading to Karasuno.

Well, thank god school is done. It was awful, trying to get back into the groove of things with volleyball still on my mind. But, I'll get used to it after a while.

I neared Karasuno High and made my way back to the gym, where activity could already be heard inside.

"Hey!" I called out, opening the door.

"UWAH! VEN-CHAN!" Hinata leaped up, hugging me.

"Ack! No hugs, no hugs!"

Daichi stormed over and pulled Hinata off of me.

"Sorry, Ven-chan." Daichi said. "Hinata's a little overexcited right now after meeting Nishinoya."

"Ah, right. Where is Nishinoya?" I asked, putting on my volleyball shoes.

"What's up, Ven-chan?" Nishinoya ran forward, grinning.

"Do you mind practicing with me?" I said. "I want to see your skills as a Libero."

"Yeah, of course! Anything for a fellow volleyball player!"

"Great, thanks,"

I set my bag down beside the doors and felt myself being jerked forward as Nishinoya grabbed my hand and dragged me on to the court.

"Hey guys-" I quickly got out as I shot past Suga, Kageyama, Tsukishima, Tanaka, and Yamaguchi.

Nishinoya directed me next to a cart of balls and handed me one.

"Okay! What did you want to work on?" The second-year grinned.

"Er-"

"Ah, Nishinoya-senpai! Show Ven-chan the Rolling Thunder!" Hinata exclaimed.

"NO!" The entire team shouted.

I stared at the group as they stared daggers into the tiny player and turned back to Nishinoya.

"Actually, there was something I wanted to ask," I said.

"Sure. What is it?" Nishinoya said.

"I heard a while ago about another player on this team- the Ace,"

The team fell quiet, staring at me as I talked.

"Is he not in this team anymore? Was he kicked off?"

Nishinoya looked down, his eyes filled with emotions.

"You're talking about Asahi," he said after a minute.

"Yes- this Asahi-san," I nodded. "I've heard people call him the Glass-Hearted Ace,"

"Asahi was a great Ace on the team. He wasn't kicked off- he quit. It happened a while ago in one of the tournaments we were in, facing off against Date Tech,"

"The Iron Wall," I closed my eyes. "I see now. He blames himself because he never made it over the wall,"

"Spot on," Nishinoya nodded. "I knew you'd figure it out quickly, Ven-chan,"

"He still goes to this school though, right?" I said, opening my eyes.

The team nodded.

"Nobody really talks to him anymore, however..." Sugawara murmured. "It would be great for him to return to have the team whole again,"
