"How are you feeling, mate?" Niall's calm tone irritated Louis as he expressed his concern. How can Niall be calm about this?

"I would've been better if we had a chill night out and didn't end up on the other side of the world, thanks for asking." Louis answered him, displeasure very present in his voice, but Niall took no notice of that.

"Ay, Tommo, this trip did you favors. It's good to get out of the house at times and live your life." Niall told him proudly, patting his shoulder. Louis stood at the table, eating a bowl of cereal as they prepared to get down in a few minutes for classes.

Louis rolled his eyes. "Yeah, but not on Sundays. This first week of school was a preparing one, but now real stuff is going to happen. I need to be fully rested in order to be able to concentrate."

Niall scoffed playfully as he rested on the furniture, watching Louis through light blue eyes. "We've only got one life, Tommo, live it to the fullest."

Louis raised his eyebrows and shook his head, his eyes focused on the cereal in front of him. Why take advice from a person who has it easy for him? Niall doesn't care about rules, his father is the Ambassador of Ireland. If anything happens to him, he'll bail him out. But Louis? He'd be a disappointment to his father.

He always liked doing the right things, barely breaking any moral rules of his. Yes, he does go out and has a few sips of alcohol, but that's it. He hates giving in to the negative temptations, smoking, drinking, like a lot of people do. Those are usually the kind of people who don't care what happens to them, at least that's how he sees it. His father imprinted this stuff in his head ever since he was little and he grew to despise doing anything that belongs in the book of forbidden things. It's just not right and he wished everyone would think like him. Especially Niall. He's such a bright soul with a bright mind, but he always gives in to the temptations that are parties. And where there are parties, there is alcohol and drugs. Louis just wants to puke, that is so disgusting. People shouldn't do that.

One thing Louis felt this morning was frustration, which was gradually replaced by sadness. He felt tears brim his waterline as his eyes became glossy at the thought of what happened in the weekend. He felt so dirty and ashamed of himself. How could he end up in the state of not remembering anything? It must've been really bad. And he hates himself for it. He stepped on his moral compass and stomped all over his dignity. He's a weak person, because he's given in to the temptation. Now that Louis thinks about it, it's better if he didn't know what happened. And if his father will never know. He'll never break his rules ever again, he'll be the best version of himself he could be.

"Tommo..." Niall's voice was gentle now as he found his way behind Louis' pressing his palms on his friend and roommate's shoulders. "It's okay. Not everything has to be so serious, it's not wrong to have fun from time to time." He attempted to comfort his best friend, noticing his upset demeanor.

Louis couldn't help but sniff pitifully, before wiping away the tears that threatened to fall as if nothing ever happened. "It's alright, I'll never do such stupid things ever again." He knew Niall was frustrated with him, I mean, how could he not? They're both so different, yet they always find their way back to each other. They're platonic soulmates and that's how it'll always be. They're so different, but that's what makes them a perfect match. He always tried to tell Louis that it's okay to drink and smoke, but was always told off by his friend. "Do you think I made a mistake choosing to stay on campus and not at an apartment?" He asked Niall when he calmed down, turning his head to face him.

Niall opened his mouth, unsure of what to answer. He wanted to be honest, but he knew what Louis wanted to hear. He still went with honesty anyway. "No. Being on a campus is great, you get to make all kinds of friends... and there's tons of parties..." He belatedly added, sending Louis a cheeky smile, which earned him an eye roll.
